This is a 1954 Moto Parilla 150 Sport. Go ahead and Google it. I had to.

I have no idea how many of these there are. I’ve only ever heard of one more of these in the country and it was a really rough condition.

I bought this at a moto auction in Vegas in January of 2013 as an art piece for my apartment. It’s just the most beautiful thing and I had to have it.

The previous owner is a well-known collector of obscure bikes and cars. He bought it from a gentleman from Torino Italy who owned it for 20 years and kept it as a display piece.

Condition is… remarkable. I’ve never started it because it’s purpose was always to be a display piece but the motor turns freely and seems to have good compression (it makes all the right sucking noises when you prime the kick starter). The transmission shifts, brakes work, the clutch works, wheel and head bearings feel solid. It’s clearly been painted since the tank decal on the right side faces the wrong way, but details like the foot pegs are all present.

There are a few nicks to the paint here and there and the drain plug is unoriginal and doesn’t sit flush – therefore if it’s over 70° outside, bike leaves a dime size puddle of fresh clean oil once a week.

It's such a simple machine and in such great condition I'm sure getting it running wouldn't take more than an afternoon of labor and maybe a new spark plug. I was going to do it myself but recently broke my wrist badly enough to require surgery and so I’m down to one hand next couple of months.

It even has a clean California title.

I have no idea what the value of this bike is. Let’s say $5000. Bike is in south west Los Angeles.

If you have any questions let me know.

Let me be the 1st to say, what an incredibly honest and well put together ad!! Beyond informative. Super clear pics. Hats off to you sir. I wish I could help you. Best of luck with the sale but I doubt you'll need it. I love this thing and I'm sure you'll find a home for it quickly. :thumbup:teeth

Very cool.

That is a very cool machine.
I can see why you used it as house décor.

GTWS!

I think your asking price is very fair for such a rare piece.

Very cool, did you just shoot this photos ?

Very nice. I love the detail.
OP, did you notify they guys at www.classicsportbikesforsale.com? (yes, that's a real site). They don't sell, they just post interesting stuff that's for sale at other sites (usually Ebay). This would be a good break from the Ducatis and Nortons for them.

That is a gorgeous piece of motorcycle history. Wow. :love
