20 Years ago today I was one stoked dude!!!!

Oh man, do I remember that.

I remember when in the penultimate race, Pedrosa took Nicky out.

I've never jumped up off the couch and shouted at my TV before.

But fortune smiled and Rossi binned it in the final race.

20 years...geez.
 
I was there as well. I got to meet one of my idols. He was a writer for a magazine. He lived down in Paso Robles and just died recently. I'm sorry, I cannot remember his name.
 
My wife and two friends were at Laguna in 2006 as well. It was such a special moment.
 
It was awesome. I was totally blessed to interview Nicky there.
Always be a special memory.

He was such a cool and friendly person.
 
I got Nicky's autograph on my autograph jacket on Thursday of the 2006 race. I found his scooter outside the press tent, and draped it over his seat, waiting for him to come back outside. He got on the wrong scooter, and couldn't get it to start (because it wasn't his). I picked up my jacket and asked for a signature, which he was happy to give, seeing Vale's, Stoner's, Lorenzo's, KR senior and junior, and many more. We chatted for about 2 minutes before he rode off. I wished him luck on the way out, and he gave me a fist bump. Bromance for sure.
It was an amazing race with Nicky winning, and EVERYONE around the track was so excited. The celebration lasted for HOURS after words.
In 2005, when Nicky won Laguna and Colin Edwards finished 2nd, there was a similar elation around the track as well.
Such Great memories.
