an r6 is a good starter bike?

Yeah maybe I should qualify. IMO This bike is a good starter bike for someone who has some street experience, feels they're a little too heavy for a 250 or 450, and wants the option of being able to quickly change from street to track mode. This was my first bike and I went from zero experience to racer in a year and a half. I would have killed for this deal when I started. It would have allowed me to gain experience on the street and start doing track schools when I felt I was ready (for very little $$$). I guess a good starter bike is in the eye of the beholder, I just promised myself I wouldn't do anything stupid, and I didn't (you don't survive almost a complete year of 600 racing in the AFM by doing stupid things). I learned a lot on this bike from a fundamental point of view, but I've always had a good grasp of throttle control. If you're ham fisted then you'll get yourself in trouble on any bike, the trouble just comes faster with bigger bikes. It's all about using your head and coming up to speed slowly. Starting on a 600 gave me room to grow, both from a girth standpoint and as a rider.

Thanks for lookin’

FYI I’ve been getting a lot of emails about parting the bike out so before I get anymore let me tell everyone that I'm not interested in parting it out.

i started out on an r6..... with no previous riding experience.. shit i didnt even know how to ride a bike...
its true its not a good starter bike.. when i first got on.. it scared the shit out of me, especially when i popped the clutch and almost ran onto the road... grabbed the brake and my crotch was thrown against the tank.. ouch...
yeah so me not having a helmet or any of my gears kept me off the road so i kept practicing going up and down in the garage, practicing the clutch and trying not to stall out...
that helped a lot with my overall newbie experience...

Bump - Reduced Price

my friend's bike was stolen recently and hes been looking to buy another one.... i told him to check this one out and he said its bad ass how it included so much stuff
im surprised it hasnt sold yet cuz it has so much bling, racing plastics and entire set of wheels.. hm...
i'll let him know you reduced the price....
gl with sale man.. its one hell of a deal... if i had the money.. i would buy it as track bike .. i wish i did :(

This is almost exactly what I've been looking for. How many track days / track hours are on the bike?

I do 2:02s at TH in my S2000 (w/Cyclone), I'd hope I could eventually be just a little quicker on this... ;)
