Background Story:
This bike has been a hell of a lot of fun for me. I decided to keep the motor stock for reliability and ease, as well as the suspension. I had toyed with the idea of racing in the production class as well but never did.
You can do some more upgrades to have a serious weapon of a bike, or use it like I did for a very reliable, incredibly quick, fun factory. Have a look at some of your favorite instructors, and coaches at the track next time, and you’ll likely see one of these bikes in their trailers (Ken Hill, Dave Moss, a number of both the Keigwins, Z2, and PTT instructors/racers).
I have learned to do consistent 2:01’s at T-Hill the way the bike sits (I am in no way trying to brag, I am simply letting you know that the bike can haul some mail for sure….I also know that someone with more skill than I have can move this bike even faster than that).
Bike Meets Dirt:
Bike was low-sided on turn 14 at T-Hill (Oct. 2011), slid to the dirt on the right side, and once it hit the dirt, up-righted itself and flopped over once to the opposite side (hence the scratches on both sides of the bike.
In my garage I accidentally pulled the bike off the rear stand as well. Bike didn’t hit the floor, but wedged into the rear stand (hence the scratches on the rear swing arm).
I have done many track-days (most besting my previous lap-times) after the low side and had no issues with the bike tracking straight, turning-in etc.… The bike has been a ball of fun for me, and I know that its new owner will have a blast as well. It is simply time for something else to play with…
PM, or email me, but a text or call is best/fastest.
