2011 Cadillac CTS-V Stolen 8.5.26 - FOUND 8.19.26 but destroyed

Never mind that within 2 years it would likely depreciate as much as the msrp on your Caddy which held its value well.

I'm picturing Anna Nichole Smith and her 95 year old husband on their wedding day. He knew what he was getting and why he was getting it. Depreciation (and deprecation) doesn't matter when it's a lusty heart driving the bus. I'm as excited for Bud to get his Aston as I am to hopefully get to touch the damn thing!

bunch of people in here trying to solve @budman's problem that he didn't ask help solving! maybe he just wants to vent and we should be listening...

yea yea i know i provided a solution as well, but i'm trying! :laughing

:newbie Please introduce yourself in the newbies section before posting!

Thanks for the stuff @TheRobSJ :thumbup

Definitely 25+ if I chase it and agreed it has to be garaged.
I sure don't want to drive something that awesome and get all emotionally tied to it.

Two things:

1. You're in special graces that almost no one has the chance at: Rob being your guide through the Aston process. This is amazing and so bad ass it makes grown mean tear up.

2. If WE'RE emotional, YOU need to be emotional! Enjoy if Bud..you earned this and you absolutely deserve it. New or used...it doesn't matter (well it kinda does...new lets you make the car truly "yours"). I believe you can still pick absolutely any color palette to paint...from hundreds of thousands of colors.

Awesome times Bud. Enjoy this thoroughly, brother!

Someone did the midnight move on my favorite car ever. :rant
Just in of the off chance someone sees it. I don't think this was a joy ride theft.

I don't feel mad as much as I am bummed. However if I had the fucker in front of me the rage would flow. I hate thieves.
It will not buff right out. Animals is too nice to call these assholes.

Fucking A. What a wasteful disappointment. That's infuriating Bud. I can never wrap my head around that level of not caring about something nice. It breaks my brain.

Another cherry car gone to the scavengers

Wouldn't be surprised all those goodies are swapped onto a base model caddy. Are Striker Cars still a thing?

The black one is a 2008 AMG 63 Coupe. 500Hp & I got to drive it in July. :) It reminded me of another buddy's 2013 CTS-V. Both automatics. Very similar driving experience, handling, & power. I'd be happy with either! ;-)

Just saw your latest post budman. So sorry to see it that way. I hope you find a replacement that puts a smile on your face.

Grab the plate Bud. It's her marker stone.

Don't forget; like a good pet, she served you well.
Not my plate. Some other poor bastard that had their car jacked. There were several. Inside was disgusting mix of garbage, shit and piss.

They say the abandonded cars become homeless drug and sex boxes filled with garbage by neighbors that don't want to pay for hauling. :barf

Anyone who can do that to such a beautiful car lives in a world of hate and misery and just wants to share it and impose it on others

They reap what they sow

Nice and informative!

Other then aesthetics any reason to go with the UK product over the German one?

They are similar but drive very different. And of course the looks are obvious.

The Aston has a rear mounted transmission for better weight balance. And speaking of transmissions, the Aston uses the tried and true ZF8 auto which is pretty much the gold standard of torque converter automatics these days. The Mercedes uses their own 9 speed auto with a fancy wet clutch pack instead of the torque converter which enables really fast shifts. Also the Mercedes is all wheel drive while the Aston is rear drive only.

The Mercedes can be had with multiple powertrains and even with electrification to push things over 700hp. But the equivalent V8 ICE only is still down a considerable amount of power to the Aston’s version of their engine.

Materials in the Aston will be much nicer and more customizable, and while I think that’d be obvious, I suppose it’s worth mentioning.

Does anyone buy a car because of its 0-60 times?
If it got there a second slower would that be a deal breaker?

It’s a metric that everyone can still understand. Because everyone has probably had to give it the sauce to get on a freeway on-ramp at least once or twice in their life. 60 is a speed that does not involve going so fast it’s a straight to jail situation.

I personally care more about 60-130. Much more true measurement of how “powerful” a car is. Since cars can be geared down enough to feel quick in the 0-60. The C8 Corvette Stingray is a shining example of this. Sub-3 0-60 time but runs out of legs to keep pulling that hard once you get close to 100.

I'm looking forward to hear the story of Bud and Rob walking into the sales office with everything already configured and figured out and asking the salesman just to step out of the way please so they can enter it into the computer and order it.
" Excuse me, we got this"

As if my salespeople do much “selling” anyways. They’re really all just order placers. The cars sell themselves.

Did you mean 113?

:sadface

And I was just seriously eyeballing a 107 LOL

Good god, man. Don't do that to yourself!

The 113s are beautiful but not exactly inspiring to drive.
