2013 Triumph Daytona 675/675R

I like it much better than the old. I never understood the under the seat exhaust after owning a 916 and riding it in heat above 80deg. F., it just didn't make sense. I'm glad more are putting the exhaust under the seat to rest (for now).

street riding - it gets hot / looks cool
track riding - survives a lowside better

I like it.... except for the subframe. Looks like a plastic trellis cover.

I think it's plasti-dip...

Moto design must be a high stress job. You're walking aon a pretty thin tightrope. On one hand you want your design to have some uniqueness and be identifiable to enthusiasts. On the other you don't want to stray too far and have a wood instrument cluster like the Bimota Mantra.

Meh not a step in a right direction. The front looks a bit like CBR, sub frame looks fat and ugly, and not a big fan of side exhaust. Personally I prefer under tail exhaust, specially in the winter. :laughing

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the underseat exhausts either, but I love the overall look of the Daytona. Not sure I like the look of the new exhaust though. Might put up with the hot ass rather than have that thing.

Dig the new wheels.

Looked like they tried to copy Honda's CBR1K underslung pipe design.

Side panels look too "busy."

Mirrors come off a sport-tourer? :thumbdown

They replaced the projectors w/conventional reflector headlights. :wtf Do not like.

Verdict: The previous 675R looked better.

Oh hell yes, that's the Daytona I love. :drool

lol at everyone's comments about looks changes. It looks like the same damn bike!

No Show @ IMS :thumbdown

This , like the new Street Triple , Ducati Hyperstrada, and TOP SECRET Sport Tiger 1050, just popped. So too new to make the Moto Show but really glad to see the manufactures up-dating their bikes in this economy :thumbup

Wonder why they made the subframe so much fatter yet made the passenger seats much skinnier .. perhaps problems with big passenger girls overstressing the old subframe ?

speaking of which, I wonder if they made the rear spring softer, the current spring is made for 200lbs+ or something, me and my 155lbs frame barely move the damn thing... Dave Moss suggested I either start eating 5000 calories a day or swap the spring out...

I'm about 155 lbs & the stock spring rates on my D675R were borderline... but Dave finely tuned the factory suspension enough to where it worked very well with me fully geared up. That NIX30/TTX combo is simply phenomenal.

I don't really like the headlight treatment or the silver accents that bookend them - prefer just all white. Also, I do hope the new bike's body work is easier to remove/reinstall...

I'm about 200 in full gear. Would be no problem for me. :p

Did anyone read up on this yet??? The old subframe: Steel New subframe : cast aluminum. Yep it does look different.
Rear suspension: retuned and more compliant. I am guessing they changed the linkage as well as the shock.
Old lights: projector beam (Triumphs projector beam lights not known as brightest around). New lights: hopefully brighter.
Less weight: should make a better weapon:thumbup
Ok, who else can fill in some of the blanks?
