Can't wait. Hope the ol' leg is up for it. Think I'll set up a few days at Songdog before or after if there's interest.

hmm I need to figure out whether I am riding my cbr down or bringing my husky..

If you've not ridden the roads in the area, take the CBR. Wonderful stuff.
Carrizo has 2 tracks all over for exploring. Not challenging for you & your Husky.
Ballinger Canyon OHV is interesting. Look it up.

Gwynn, I was mainly thinking to stop & visit, on the way to Ballinger Canyon. Is it open for visitors to spend a night on the mesa?

Ballinger Canyon looks sweet! But the CBR is feeling ignored and I will have ridden dirt the 5 weekends prior so I suppose a street ride will be fun/different :) Maybe the CBR will take a spin onto some fire roads :ride

It is open for "private" parties and camping as guests of Jim's. You'd probably be fine just dropping in but for overnights best to arrange in advance.
