most god shops I know wouldnt work n a drunk guy, not only because its bad business, but it makes the tattoo bleed more and is harder to do.

regarding walk ins, lots of great shops still accept walk ins, and lots of plavces like that usually have a guy who will drop in a walk in if it happens to not be busy. the current popularity of script and american traditional lends itself well to walk ins. as 1) even large tattos domt take long to do so guys arent as booked and 2) lots american trad can be dne very fast

If your in a hurry, no tat for you. To back this up they will soon outlaw automatic tattoo guns. These "assault guns" make it to easy compared to the traditional method.

Imagine waking up sober the next day with a tramp stamp :wtf :blush

That would be your own damn fault. What business is it of the government to regulate stupidity that doesn't harm others?

No. And they will Swat Team any shop that violates...THE LAW!! :|

Awesome! Maybe the SWAT Team can get matching team tattoos. :thumbup

large tattoos done in amreican Trad DONT take very long,, maybe your idea of long is different than mine.

american traditional can get massive coverage in not too long of a time because of the large color blocks, lack of precice detail or shading, and use of small varieties of color.

shitty ones don't.

quality work does.

and my version of long is around the 50 hour mark for 1 piece.

I think you think im insulting the style, which im not. its cool, and I dig it.

what i think you think is not what was thunk...but merely thought about the thinking part of my...ummm...thoughts...

Plus, you and I may have different ideas as to what constitutes "large".

large for me is like 18"X24" full cover.....not little single session 5"x7"'s

;)

American traditional tattoos are not easy if done well. Not everybody can master it. I'm not sure what quick means but you need stellar line work and good shading.

This is a good thing, awesome tattoos are awesome. Jacked-up tattoos are not. Give it a 24-hour think and sleep on it first...don't end up with a permanent solution to a temporary idea. :p

It might be good advice for a person to follow. It is not something the government needs to control.

Basically this. If you're shitfaced a lot of studios will not give you tattoos. I mean that's just unethical.

Shop owner where I used to work would get pissed off at me and rant and rave when I refused to tattoo drunk people.

Do I think the cooling off period is a good idea? In concept, yes, because as a culture, we are impulsive and irrational and do not think things through. That said, what someone wishes to do to his/her body is his/her business - number of fucks given: Zero. I think that as a society, we've got bigger fish to drown than worry about Ashley and Skyler getting inked up.

I got my first tattoo a week ago. I had already decided what and where it was going to be. It happened that the shop I went to had walk-in openings and I got it done that day. A 24 hour waiting period would have forced me to wait another week because of my and the shop's schedules. Plus the government has no fucking business telling people what to do with their bodies.

:cool
