Just like your YSR does:D

4 strokes have valves and cams, 2 strokes don't
on 4 strokes the exhaust valves open every 4th stroke of the piston. The spark plugs ingnite the fuel evey 4th stroke
On 2 stokes the "exhaust port" is open evey second stroke. The plugs ignite the fuel every other stroke.
There's more to it than that, but that would involve me thinking more (hurts). What the two stoke does is deliver power to the wheel twice as often as a 4 stroke.
One reason GP bikes are much harder to handle

I've seen some lovely animated GIFs that show you exactly how 2-stroke engines, 4-stroke engines, and even rotary engines work. Now I have to find them.

I don't know anything about my YSR other than the fact that its cute as hell :D

Damn two stroke.. four stroke..diffrent strokes...wankei rotors...shitty push-rod...too many terms...giving me headache..arggggg... ( im also under the weather..dont mind me :twofinger )
