$5 movie Friday 1/18/08 - "Cloverfield"

Just saw it this afternoon first showing. Very good movie. It is Blair Witch meets Godzilla. If you can't stand first person camera shot perspective then don't watch it. The monster is just a secondary character in the movie.
 
Anyone hanging out/around after the movie? Can't make the show, but perhaps afterwards... :)

Cloverfield was......different. We sat towards the back & I highly recomment that - lots of shaky camera shots. :rolleyes

If ya don't expect much from the hoopla, you may just sit back & enjoy, as I did. :thumbup

+1 on the monster just being in the background; the movie's more involved in the unfolding human drama.

I think our group's (18 of us) reactions were all over the board - from the hated it, was bored, to loved it and awesome. :dunno

yep, it was great to meet all the new people (like ChuckNorris' twin brother...JoeNorris??) plus seeing all my peeps again.

i wish the film had more attractive lead characters....like Scarlett Johannsen! :p
