Three people were injured in a home invasion shooting in San Francisco’s Bayview neighborhood overnight.

The incident happened after 2 a.m. at Elmira and Industrial near Bayshore Boulevard at the Highway 101 – Interstate 280 junction.

Police say it appears one of the victims managed to wrestle a gun away from one of the suspects. “We believe that one of the victims in the house somehow got hold of the gun and shot the suspect,” San Francisco Police Dept. Sgt. Dennis Toomer said.

Two children were in the home at the time. None of the children were hurt.

Two of the three adults are suffering life-threatening injuries. One man was shot in the face (The POS) and is in critical condition. A second man was shot in the foot (The good guy) and is in stable condition this morning, and a woman is in serious condition after sustaining a gunshot wound to her stomach, police said.
 
Hope the POS dies and saves the cost of a trial.
 
Damn, too bad the woman was shot in the stomach. Nothing like blasting an intruder in the face with his own weapon. I wonder what made them decide to go for it? I'm pretty sure I'd be thoroughly submitting with 3 intruders, unless it seemed like they were there to do more than steal.
 
Fuck. I'll bet the kids are traumatized, big time.

Hopefully they have someone to talk to about this.

Prayers for the victims, hope for a full recovery - save for the POS.

Now, the search for the others begins...

Let's hope they're caught and not given a plea deal.

The whole idea of a "Home Invasion" freaks me the HELL OUT!!! My god, you are asleep in your bed and some a-holes kick in your door and start attacking your family!!! :wtf

I read a story about a family in SF where the home was invaded and the Husband was tied up and the Wife and Daughters were assaulted in front of the Husband. That is BEYOND F#$%^D UP!!!

These criminals should be placed UNDER the jail. Going to a cushy jail is WAAAY too good for those people. I am a liberal, but I don't buy the BS; "Oh, he had a bad childhood, he was raised in the ghetto...". I too was raised in the ghetto and lost my Mother when I was 6 y/o, but I do not go around robbing / hurting people.

My problem is this- I sleep like a dead person. I hope that my Pitts would wake me up so I can be prepared for any intruders.

i'm not saying "bring it" to the criminals - but I am saying it feels good to be prepared...




glad these SF residents fought back; yeah for sure must have taken some guts if there were 3 intruders. must have caught one of them alone and off guard.
 
Weird timing. My dog's sick and I had to leave the door to the yard wide open all night.

So, I slept with a 12 gauge next to my bed. :|
 
Without disclosing the nature(s)/location(s) of my weapon(s), I will say that I feel sufficiently armed and able to defend myself if the need were to present itself :thumbup
Good for these people standing up and fighting back. We need more people like them to be armed and trained.

Can't wait to see Yee's reaction...oh wait, it'll probably get swept under the rug and completely ignored since it doesn't fit their narrative. That or get held up as a shining example of why we need more gun laws. Clearly we're too lax.
 
Sorry to say but I don't think this is a family of innocents who were victimized by some home invaders.

It seems just too pat that 3 guys randomly chose your house and broke in the middle of the night thru the front door. Then while one of them has a gun on you, you wrestle it away and shoot them.

Bad guys have kids too, and sometimes they bring business home with them.

Again, I am just speculating, similar to what most Chronicle writers do.
