First, Pigpen - Thank you for organizing a great ride. The weather was great and the routes and the timing of the stops you chose was perfect.
Count me in the next time you organize a ride
Onward, the meeting point for the entire group was at the Cordelia Shell station at 9am. It was a good turnout and our first route was the corners (a lot of boat-haulers during the first half but eventually cleared up halfway to the first "corners" stop). Then we headed up to Middletown and it was a nice ride up there (with a little stop-over at the site of last weeks accident).
Fueled up at the Middletown gas station and the group broke into two groups. Wendy's group decided to catch lunch at the Town Cafe and Pigpen's group went on to Hopland and catch lunch over there. On the way up to Hopland, we had a close call with a truck (head-on) but quick and decisive actions from both cager and rider prevented a serious accident.
Good lunch at the Brewery and good stories. BTW, if you need your lids customized,,, Adonf is the man. Check out the pics of his lids, you can tell him he can't ride,,just don't tell him he can't smoke! (inside joke
).
Anyway, here's the pics from today's ride, enjoy.
P.S.- Had a flat just right by Greyser exit off of 101S and since AAA don't cater to motorcycles, the local tow truck that showed up offered to bring my bike to the nearest town (5 miles = 75 bucks!) and 6 dollars per mile thereafter (I'm about 140miles out!). I will never ride without duct-tape anymore
