Storro originally claimed a black woman with a ponytail threw acid in her face at night as she was celebrating a new job and had just bought a pair of sunglasses.

Splash patterns and other parts of the story, like the wearing of sunglasses at night, led to the unraveling of Storro's story, police said.

Why do White people have like a knee jerk need to say it was a black person who attacked them and of course people believe them.

Cuz of 400 years of opression© Duh!

You have answered your own question.

Oppressing people damages both parties.

And of course, she's a giant douche. Like all those other people who painted a tearful picture of big bad black people doing them harm, when they did it themselves. A disgusting trend. :thumbdown

Except, I'd be a better person if all those black kids didn't bully me when I was young. :x

She should a thrown kool-aid or purple drink at herself. That's a more believable story i would imagine.

Why does she wear her sunglasses at night?

One more reason not to give to any charity (she took donations after the "attack.")

That part reminded me of a woman in Toronto who faked cancer recently to get donations.

why do you assume it's the race of the attacker that made people "believe"?

Perhaps its the batshit crazy that no one comprehends that someone would actually splash acid in their own face that makes them believe whatever the "victim" says?

At least she didn't claim it was an Arabic man, or imagine the "outrage" we'd be seeing now.

tough call on this one. Better voluntary private charities to help various causes than mandatory government programs-or even better, individual time spent on causes important to them. But sometimes, money is what is needed.

I think the big problem is donating to single individual causes, based on emotional response. Same as those "ladies" asking for donations for breast augmentation and people trying to get a new car.

Usually when its been fake in the past the liar usually states a black person. For example susan smith http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Susan_Smith

No one is going to believe Graham Wellington threw acid on her face.

She should've gone with the other "brown" and said it was an illegal Mexican... the right wing media woulda had a field day! :thumbup

I'm just glad JaMarcus is in the clear, he's had rough going of late. :laughing

OK well thinking of it I gave money to the Clinton-Bush Haiti charity. I figured there was a good chance that wasn't a fly by night operation. But things like this only reinforce my deep skepticism of charities in general.
