Sorry if this is the wrong forum. Did some searching and came up with nothing.

I've been using AGV K5's for my past few helmets and recently picked up a Veloce S. I wear an ML in AGV which is about a 58cm circumference. K5 is 58 in ML and Veloce is 59-60 in ML but the fit is completely different. Veloce feels much more snug on my head and wondering if thats because it's more of a race-oriented design. The K5 is much roomier inside but its also touring-oriented.

Anyone that wears AGV helmets that can chime in? Just want to make sure that this is the intended fit before I return or exchange for a bigger size.

Thanks!

Might not be the measurement per say. It could be the shape of the helmet.

What's strange is the K5 and Veloce does have a intermediate oval shape - per Revzilla. But I've tried on both on in stores. I fit the Veloce a lot better than the K5 or even the K3 and I have a fairly round head.

Thanks, the only other thing I could find that shed's any light on the fit is cheek-pad sizing on the Veloce S is 34mm vs the 28mm on the K5. Head liner is also thicker at 14mm. This may explain the tight squeeze vs the K5. Oddly enough for both helmets, the size L has thinner padding than the ML.

Been a long time since I had an AGV, but it was much longer and tighter along the sides than most Arais and Shoeis. Which makes sense, because Italian faces are longer than Asian ones.

With that being said, almost every helmet brand offers different models designed for different head shapes. So you can't say all AGV models fit the same. My best advice is to consult webbikeworld, they write the best helmet reviews, including an evaluation of the head shape. https://www.webbikeworld.com/category/gear-brands/agv/

i have both-veloce s is more race fit,it's just lacking the spoilers of the race helmets-pista etc. i have intermediate oval head and ml fits nicely.you are right,k5 is a lot roomier in same size,i had to change pad sizes to get helmet to fit right

I wear the MS in the Corsa. I think I've had a K5 for a minute, didn't know a fitment difference vs the Corsa.
The Corsa new (and broken in) has always had a snug fit. New, the cheek pads leave a mark on my face, like when you sleep hard on your pillow and the pillow case was creased, which transfers onto your face, like that. Goes away after a few minutes after the helmet is off.

I ended up buying a size Large crown liner since thats mostly where the tighter fit was. That should make the fit a little more comfortable in that area. Cheek-pads feel fine so i'll leave those the way that they are.
