for what it's worth, everybody everywhere 'knew a guy'. but physical abnormalities aside, any cowboy, let alone the greatest a) would never carry an unloaded gun, and b) would never aim it at any living thing he didn't intend to shoot.
AI under certain circumstances seems to imply 'accidental idiot'.
