What's your favorite Alice album and why? The GH album has some decent stuff but I want the song "Welcome to My Nightmare" too and I thought maybe I'd like that whole album. Luckily I can still preview things on YouTube since Amazon doesn't do song snippets anymore. Aside from WTN, I love "School's Out", "Billion $ Babies" and "Elected" too. "No More Mr. Nice Guy" got stuck in my head a couple of days ago, that's what got this ball rolling. It came in to relieve Leo Sayer's "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing". True story.

So, which Coop album should I get? Keep in mind, I like thrash metal best in the rock spectrum so pace and heaviness are important. I thought Poison (the song, not the band) was... .... ghey. Does he have a good live album pre-1980? Thanks.

Let's go Pecco! Or Quatro... I like both. I still want Zarco to take one before the end of the year.

Only song I know is welcome to my nightmare. Got a feeling there’s not an albums worth of material total that I’d be into.

I think the most I've ever listened to Alice Cooper was when Barnabus Collins had him as a special guest at his fancy ball in the movie Dark Shadows.

Feed my Frankenstein. Was my intro to Alice Cooper. Still one of my favs.

First time I've ever been scared to see "Alice Cooper", and I have seen him driving a baby blue BMW Z3 on 17 Mile Drive.

You know, in my experience, Alice Cooper is very hit or miss. He seems like a cool performer, and certainly has that insane Iggy Pop style deathless staying power, but for me he has some good tracks, but just isn't typically the sort of artist I can listen to a whole album of.

Hey Stoopid was pretty good if I recall, with tracks like "Hey Stoopid" and "Feed My Frankenstein," it seemed to really feed into that dark side of glam, kind of Zakk Wylde sort of vibe that Ozzy was also doing on his No More Tears album from around the same time.

If you like thrash, I don't know how impressed you will be by Alice Cooper, much like Ozzy, he is really a Hard Rock act, and even most the more square metal bands will be harder music.

weirdest fucking looking golfer ever

Seriously! He was at the AT&T Pro Am a couple years... I have a friend who caddied for Trump that caddied for Alice Cooper one year. But, he loves the game... :dunno

SIA(?) also plays Pebble Beach quite often.

He had a moderately amusing cameo in Wayne's World doing a bit about Milwaukee, so there was that.

WRT live albums - live at montreaux is good (raw and awesome vocals). it’s not pre-1980 (2005), but has a lot of the old stuff.

and @ john - that pic isn’t sia. maybe maddie (her dancer), but not sure about that (brown contacts?).

That's what came up I googled ziggy.... :laughing

I know nothing about her except my friend says she's a pretty good golfer.

If you have a better pic, please post. :thumbup

I had 'Welcome to my nightmare' and enjoyed several cuts from it.
On a side note, one of my mates has his old 66 Mustang fastback. Nice ride.:)

Agree, glad it's not a RIP thread. The best intro to Alice is to watch him on the Muppet Show. Then start digging in. :laughing

Sia is a whole album artist for me. Alice Cooper? Never even thought to try. I can only think of a single Alice Cooper song, and I don't need to hear an album of similar music.
