All Bay Area Motorcycle Clubs?

dude, that's my life!

I'm gonna start a motorcycle club but none of us are gonna actually ride anywhere; like most clubs here in the bay, knowing how to ride is secondary to knowing how to drink like a sailor.

And being responsible drunkards that we are; we're not going to drink and ride.. we're just going to drink.

We're all gonna show up at events in the club's School short bus..

Short Bus MC?

not sure what you are rolling your eyes at about that statement..????

There was a prolonged debate in another thread about the supposed distinction between a motorcycle club, MC, motorcycle group, riders club, etc., under the premise that calling yourself a motorcycle club or MC will bring down the wrath of the local Hells Angels.

This is a distinction made by folks who have delusions of grandeur about their club's role in the motorcycling community. The HA and other 1%er clubs have (or have a history of having) a high level of involvement in criminal activity. They only care about rival clubs who seek to move in on their turf.

Unless you're getting involved in drugs, prostitution, guns, shootouts in casinos, or prison gangs, they don't care what you call your motorcycle club of women, rich guys, adventure riders, Christians, edgy coastal dwellers, scooter nerds, BARFers, etc.

Wearing a 3-patch vest has traditionally been the symbol of membership in an outlaw biker group, or one that used to dabble in such. Modern social riding clubs who adopt this are trying to be something they're not. (Exception given to Christian groups of former outlaws trying to go straight.)

Stay out of organized crime and don't play dress-up with a 3-patch vest (be original and creative and find your own symbol of membership) and nobody will care what you call your club.

Someone I once knew that was friends with some HAs and also knew some people that were trying to start a 3 patch club (that was not involved in criminal activity) once told me that 1%er clubs still needed to get some kind of blessing from whoever the "main" club in the area was.

But this was like 10 years ago and second hand knowledge. So... Yeah, "cool story, bro" (directed back at myself).

You sure do know a lot about how the MC world works

Ok, zombie thread zombie question....

If all these are 1% clubs, if we got barf on that list what would the percentage of BARF riders in the bay area vs the "Club" riders???

Would we be the 28%? the 60%? :dunno

I'm surprised that BARF doesn't have an MC, I'd join that for sure. but until then, i'm looking at SBF http://www.sbfreaks.com .

I was going to join them, till some dumb B*%$H totaled my bike. but now i got a new one so it's all gravy.

Don't forget MGR :twofinger

There are also:

The NorCal Presidents, a New Triumph Bonneville group ( no meetings, no rules, no dues. Ride with us 3 times and you are a President)

The NorCal Airheads for Airhead BMW riders

The NorCal Norton Owner's Club

Los Gatos Motorcycle Club " dirt bike riders " been around since 1956 inc in 1959

"Click to learn more about Guided Weekend Tours in California"
Now that's MY kind of MC!!

LOL dude, this is the second time you've brought this thread back from the dead with the exact same post.

And FFS, get rid of the damn 's' after Menehune.

I'll just leave this here (found online) :dunno

Menehune are the little people of Hawaii, similar to pixies or trolls.
