A car vs. motorcycle crash Tuesday in San Francisco had an unusual conclusion: The bike, still in nearly pristine condition, wound up perched on the roof of the car.

Have you tried parking in the city? Both probably belong to the same guy.

Car was parked. I think it's a '99 Civic with a very low front end, almost ramp like? So I think the bike swerved because it couldn't stop (traffic, obstacle) on time, climbed the hood of the parked Civic, sent the rider flying and somehow the momentum was just so it would stop there, maybe the rider's legs/body were in the way.

Per the article ...

one person was injured in the collision and taken to San Francisco General Hospital.

Melanie Chin — who arrived on the scene just after the crash and sent in the picture — said the motorcyclist was not hurt.

Dude, both sidewalks and car roofs are no-no's. :)

So? Do you think if was spit, his chances of being hurt were greater? I think he remained there, on top of the car, now if his legs or body were not in the way, that would mean he stopped there while still standing...:laughing

I think he saw it comin', gassed it, rode a wheelie up the bumper, planted his feet on the hood, let the bike go, it continued up and onto the roof, and he was left standing on the hood doin' one of these ... :laughing

Well, maybe the reality is even more crazy...or boring. The guy witness saw on top of the bike wasn't a rider, he worked in a moving company and the bike was being hauled up in the building....

I'd like to believe the rider added a quarter to the meter, put his shades on, and sauntered away while checking his email on his phone.

Motorcycle Lands on Car Roof

I'm looking at this and going :wtf
