ok, here's the sob story...

my friend, who is a female rider.
is a good girl, has 2 jobs, goes to school and lives on her own.
she has a boyfriend and i'm not trying to sleep with her, lol.
she rides an old honda f3 with 55k+ miles on it.
i rode it the other day... let's just say it rides nothing like my r1.
i've been doing whatever i can with keeping the thing alive...
but, it looks hopeless... squared tires, laid down on the right, sounds hideous....
her car also died on her and her main transportation is her bike now.


but, she's never asked for help money-wise and is so sweet and helpful towards others.
girl can cook!
i'd just like to help her out a little, i know what its like being in a tough situation.
she's so into bikes.

so, if anyone has a free or close to free sportbike that i can fix up, let me know please.
no, this not a scam for me to get a bike. i'm pretty particular about what i ride.
i know, its a longshot for someone to help another person these days.

please respond with make, model and year
600cc and up is fine. she can handle a liter bike.

what needs to be done, etc.

Dude, my F3 runs like a tank with 45k on it. That said, it's not going to ever ride like an R1. Squared tires and rashed fairings means she needs a new bike? WTF does he think she's going to get for free that's better? :rolleyes

lots of riders dont have bikes because they have no money...I know i was one. And she ALREADY HAS a bike. And F3's are fuckin sick, I know cuz I had one. How the hell does this make sense at all. There are billlions of ppl that deserve more sympathy, billions.

She also has a house, but you know - it's kind of ratty, and the paint is peeling, and the second bathroom only has one of those stand-up showers, not a full bathtub. And girl can clean bathrooms! Could some kind person give her a house? A nice one, not just any old beater ranch. Jesus will love you.

She should just ask GOD for help. He seems to be giving out cars and all sorts of crap lately.
 
Take the bus.

Or get her boyfriend to drive her around until the bike/car is fixed.

She has:
- her own place
- a car
- a bike
- two jobs
- a boyfriend

How am I supposed to feel sorry for her?

She could save (a lot of) money by
- living with roommates, not live on her own
- Sell the car or the bike.
- Find a boyfriend that will pay for her repairs (or at least loan her the money to fix the car)
 
if he's willing to spend say 200 bucks or so on a "new" bike, why not just take it to a mechanic so they can look it over?
