AMA Membership Drive -- Still going for 2015 --EDIT

Marc, most of these "auto club" towing roadside assistance packages go through a Central Dispatching system. I have Good Sam and noticed that the roadside they sent for me was a AAA endorsed truck, when I worked at Progressive we offered a roadside service and it too was dispatched centrally.

Another bonus of AMA is that many carriers offer a discount on your moto policy if you are an AMA member. So it is worth a call, AFTER you join, to see if you can get an additional discount. I know Allstate gave us a retroactive discount :thumbup

I get a nice discount from Allstate as well.

My riding record is super clean.. when I sold the 91 harley and replaced it with My Multistrada my rate went up just 60 bucks. Full coverage of course.

With 3 bikes insured I get a killer deal. Pays off to be old and slow :teeth

And right on Antarius!! :thumbup

I've been thick my whole life, and thicker with age. Please help. The options are:

1. AMA Champion Membership: $49.00 /year auto-renew
2. AMA Defender Membership: $59.00 /year auto-renew
3. AMA Hall of Fame Membership: $59.00 /year auto-renew
4. AMA Competition Plus Membership: $49.00 /year auto-renew
...
...

I can't find a field/place that asks me an affiliation (with BARF).

The link goes directly to BARF I just have a champion membership

Thanks, Gwynne!

Stupidity conquered. AMA membership done. I also cancelled the AAA auto-payment, so this will be the last year.

Dennis, please make sure BARF gets the credit. AMA# incoming via PM.

Sure hope more of you guys will see the value of joining the AMA.

Only 10??? :wtf

AMA does so much for us as motorcyclists. My AMA discount on insurance alone is more than $49
Why wouldn't you join :dunno

I suppose it's a bit of marketing and timing. Shame on me, but I didn't know about AMA and its benefits until recently. And I've been riding since the late 80s. (I'm a late bloomer.)

And some riders may have just renewed their roadside arrangements. I had renewed AAA in late November or December. I also have BMW roadside assistance. I cancelled AAA's auto renewal and am trying to cancel BMW's. So for now I have a total overkill of 3 services. I imagine some riders are all set for the time being.

That said, if there's a net financial benefit, it's a no-brainer.
