Any wide angle is going to distort to some degree, its just the nature of bending light. Even my Canon L shows some barrel distortions at 17mm. Its just the nature of the beast.

It can be corrected digitally pretty easily though - which I'll do if I'm shooting architecture or am looking for straight lines. Otherwise, I don't bother.

the 16-35 doesn't have any barrell distortion that i can remember...nor does it vignette like the 17-40 does. i freggin LOVE the 16-35. it's SO awesome! i just wish i could afford one.

haha its ok u coulda left them here, how about a photo section! theres a couple ppl here that are really good photographers and it can help ppl wanting to know what kind of camera they should use

no no, it was my bad, dude. it annoys me sometimes when people start posting pics and stuff in my pic threads too, so i do my best not to do it to anyone else. i had ~30 tabs open in FF, and i thought this was a different thread.
