Who viewing a pic thread gives a fuck about the retarded kid and the bad parenting?

Go start a whiner thread about that shit or post a fucking pic. Either way STFU you goddamn sissy-boys.

can this be the go to quote for when some folks go off course with random opinions?

I LOVE THIS.:rofl:rofl

on July 4, 1054, light from the Crab Nebula supernova first reached earth. This gif shows how it is still expanding

Per Wikipedia: The Crab Nebula (catalogue designations M1, NGC 1952, Taurus A) is a supernova remnant and pulsar wind nebula in the constellation of Taurus. The nebula was observed by John Bevis in 1731; it corresponds to a bright supernova recorded by Arab, Chinese and Japanese astronomers in 1054. At X-ray and gamma-ray energies above 30 keV, the Crab is generally the strongest persistent source in the sky, with measured flux extending to above 1012 eV. Located at a distance of about 6,500 light-years (2 kpc) from Earth, the nebula has a diameter of 11 light years (3.4 pc) and expands at a rate of about 1,500 kilometers per second. It is part of the Perseus Arm of the Milky Way Galaxy.

1054 is correct. :thumbup :twofinger

the GIF in question shows the continuing expansion of the supernova from our vantage point on earth over the course of 28 years

congrats they can brighten an image.

First off... Fail!

Next... Explanation: The Crab Nebula is cataloged as M1, the first on Charles Messier's famous list of things which are not comets. In fact, the Crab is now known to be a supernova remnant, an expanding cloud of debris from the explosion of a massive star. The violent birth of the Crab was witnessed by astronomers in the year 1054. Roughly 10 light-years across today, the nebula is still expanding at a rate of over 1,000 kilometers per second. Flipping between two images made nearly 30 years apart, this animation clearly demonstrates the expansion. The smaller Crab was recorded as a photographic image made in 1973 using the Kitt Peak National Observatory 4-meter telescope in 1973. The expanded Crab was made this year* with the Kitt Peak Visitor Center's 0.4-meter telescope and digital camera. Background stars were used to register the two images.

* "This year" being 2001
