I remember how dumb I was at 18-19.

Not that dumb, but I had friends that were. Somehow they grew up OK.
Bad taste and a lack of proper respect does not equal jail time.... Or criminal intent.
Not sure what I would do as a Dad for it. That is a pretty basic thought.
