Any female off-road instructors?

Another one suggesting Shelina and ShezRacing. Not only a great person but wonderful reviews.

My wife Cathy is a off road motorcycle safety instructor
She does the HHORA MSF training at Hollister Hills

:thumbup

Dad - really consider joining HHORA. Not expensive and really good folks. Will not only have great resources like Cathy to instruct her, but a great way for both you and your daughter to meet other families/kids to ride with. HIGHLY recommended and a critical part of kids taking to bikes (social). Jack's wife Cathy is awesome. You daughter will also enjoy hanging out with Rebekah at Metcalf.

Good luck and welcome to the club!

thank you everyone

somehow i didn't manage to subscribe to this thread. -- so i am only seeing all these wonderful responses now.

i'm so so grateful to y'all -- being new to Cali. where I come from (Maryland/WV line) you just go outside a ride out front of your house. so it has been an adjustment.

here is a video of NiNi on her very first solo ride:

https://vimeo.com/240545319

i think there is something awesome when you see a rider pull up -- take off their helmet, and discover they are female.

women ride too people -- and they are awesome.

for those of you who are instructing females, would you please call me on 408.674.8797. or my email is michael@dadlovescars.com

i think it will be really magic for NiNi to have a female instructor. you will be compensated in cash -- even if i just have to toss a 20 into the cab of your truck

clutch

oh i forgot to mention i got her a honda 110. it doesn't have a clutch. so she can focus on the riding for a while -- and then move on to that when she is ready

Make sure she buckles that helmet next time. ;) Welcome to the West Coast, and to NiNi. Her first ride looks a lot better than mine did. I'm sure she'll have years of fun riding ahead of her. And the confidence you get as a female rider is really great. :thumbup (Maybe it's not such a big thing for young ladies these days, but I'm a generation ahead of her [at least], and I run into very few gals on sport bikes my age.)

Check your settings under UserCP (upper left corner) - Edit Options - Default thread subscription mode. I'm set to instant so when someone replies I get an email. If you didn't get any notification your settings are probably set to off.

Hi! Of course I’d absolutely love to help your daughter learn to ride! Hollister is more beginner friendly but I live close to Metcalf and know the park well enough to make it work:)
Whatever works for you! And of course no money ever!! I love to teach and love to ride.
The singing!! Lol it’s just me saying wheee because I’m having so much fun:)
Pm me please and we’ll do this as soon as you want.

Nice bike.
When you set something up maybe you can share the details. Perhaps some of us can swing by for the attaboy.

Hey Dad, your PM box is full! You need to delete some.

Also curious, how did you come to barf? Glad you're here!

Just saw on FB that Shelina Moreda racing and Brian Bartlow Feel-Like-A Pro dirt are having a joint dirt school at Lakeport fairgrounds on 1/13/18.

Good luck dads with your search(es) :)

it's 2018!

hello everyone -- just picking this back up -- as it is a new year. many thanks to those who sent me PMs. for whatever reason it all got full and i had to delete all of them. but i did have a phone conversation with Kathy -- just left her a voicemail looking to try and set up a Saturday at Hollister.

so if you've sent me a PM -- please forgive me -- but they are all toast -- if you'd like to join and show NiNi what women riding bikes is all about -- as soon as I firm things up with Kathy i'll let y'all know the when/where.

hoping in the next few weeks to be out there.

super thankful to BARF and thrilled that women riding bikes is clearly a thing!
