Anyone make their own Beef Jerky?

yeah...what was it?? Ron something or another. Can't remember.

UB - just give yer beef to me and I'll hang it in the garridge. A coupla hours of me smokin dunhills and it'll be smoked good and proper :laughing

Oh, and whilst you are at it, get yersen a Bedazzler too, make yer own fancy cowboy denim sparkly stuff ;)

Any supermarket. Don't use too much. It'll get bitter. It's flavor is very strong. Small bottles in the spice aisle.
 
Make if yourself, tastes excelllllent..not leathery like most crap...

I just cut flank steak into real thin strips, soak it in teriyaki/chillie/your fave flavor for 24 hours, then into the oven, hanging it over the rack so it dangles down, put the over on super-lower (about 150-180) and wedge the door open about 1/2" to stop it going tooo soft. 10-14 hours does it, depending on how thick the meat was/how much sauce it absorbed. YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Just wanted to say :twofinger for this thread. Right now I'm eating fresh jerky, it's been awhile since I have made any.

I use London Boil with red wine, soy and wotsterchire(sp) sauce. With my Mr. Coffee dehydrator
