The tarantula hawks are impressive. I've seen them on the south side of diablo and supposedly if you get stung by one, it's one of the worst painful stings of the insect world. I got buzzed a few times, but they left me alone.

that just gave me a great idea for my next victim...

bury them on the south side of diablo up to their neck and make their head up to resemble a big ass tarantula.

Never been stung in the face...have been stung multiple times in that 1/4" sliver of skin between the 30 lbs. of cow hide covering everything below the neck and my lid though. Statistically speaking it's an inexplicable numerical anomaly. It's an intricate wasp plot to take over the world. :x

I got stung by wasps/hornets (whats the difference) twice this summer at the same spot on the back of my neck. Got a lump there each time. The second time was when I stomped on two or three I'd seen flying into a coke can, i was stung by another almost immediately.
Outside at work they were all over the place. I was talking with two guys one day and one flew into the guys ear and stung him for no obvious reason.
I hate flying stinging insects.

Would of been nice to see that helicopter video in super slow motion
