AWD Audi vs RWD BMW - Car for GF Under $36k

Rear ends can be a problem if they're driven hard and fluids aren't changed. That's the one weak point to the car. a friend's wagon has gone through two rear ends...but to be fair, its the same weak rear end as in the C6's. You have to warm them up, change fluid, etc.

I miss mine a ton. Best brakes in the business, bar none. Way better car than our 08 M5.

Exactly,
Some people put diff coolers on their V. Aside from that the most common problem people have had is the tensioner for the blower. That is covered under a recall if the problem comes up. The motor and trans are damn near bullet proof. The highest mileage one I've heard of so far was 250k miles from a guy who has an 09 on the V forums and he just had his first issue with the motor where a cylinder lost compression.
Lots of people with 70k+ miles running 700+ at the wheels with no issues at all.
Their are only minor differences from 09 10 and the refresh in 2011. just some minor cosmetic stuff (badges in different areas) the biggest thing being no back up camera.
If you get a coupe the door poppers are known to go out. Sedans and Wagons have normal door handles so its a non issue for them.

Dubbs. I almost forgot. Do not, i repeat, do not, co-sign for your chick, not even is she asks you while giving you a ......backrub....or something. You absolutely will end ip paying for it if things go south. And you would never find it to take it back, even though you are paying for it.

Oooooh, you are rubbing it in. I'm a little ways away from getting one, probably sometime next year, but the obsession is strong.

Keep an on eye on the ctsvowners.com site in their classified section you can pick one up for a good price there if you don't mind it having some work done already and provided your not trying to find a wagon.

right!?
it also assumes the vehicle needs no, or at least the sucker leasee doesn't have to pay for, maintenance.

a quick search on tirerack indicates that a new set of tires (which, being staggered sizes probably aren't rotatable) starts about about $1100 for the set. i bet they don't last the length of the lease

" Selling because going electric. "

Or in other words: Everyone else in the Marina is driving a Tesla and I feel left out with
my Uber wagon that does not impress the trophy wives.

What a phenomenal wagon though. Doubt the US market will ever see a Superwagon again. :drool :leghump

You may be able to get an Audu diesel for a really good deal in the immediate future...

Or maybe they can afford it? The interest they pay they can easily make up with having put the entire cash payment in their portfolio.

I'd agree if we were like 2 months in but it's we're 8 months in and it's a values thing.

I'm with you Dubbs. When she gets a shitbox, it's GOING to be your problem and maybe even (in her mind), your fault. Having to hear the complaints is not worth it...even if you had nothing to do with it.
