Love me some Warthogs, best aircraft in the world for supporting ground troops. :thumbup

Next best is the B-52 for layered devastation. :teeth

Since Hogs came up (an AF plane so ugly even an Army guy could love).
One on the models I am currently working on.

Concept art for Star Wars by Ralph McQuarrie

I loved his early concept stuff for SW, but I don't recognize those. I bought the art pack thing of his work Back In The Day *cough* 1979 *cough*. But I don't remember those particular scenes. MAYBE the scene from Yavin's moon, but certainly not the others.

What I really liked about the early stuff was that nothing was fleshed out, and it was truly concept art. They were still visualizing stuff.

The work they released for the later movies pretty much were lifted right out of the movies (or vice-a-versa), so it wasn't as interesting.

I always liked the scene in the Death Star(c) with the Stormtroopers(tm) wielding Light Sabers(r) and shields. Obviously that never went anywhere, but shows a bit of the stuff they were thinking about back then.
