Baby on board sticker on a car

This...<emergency>

Luckily this means there is at least one good purpose for the sticker! :thumbup

I read it the same way AbsolutEnduster did. Maybe that's not what you meant, but that's what it sounded like.

A small thing, I did go back and read it twice, yes it can sound confusing or it can sound with a different meaning (as he purportedly has intended it to sound)

My experience has generally been that people with those stickers drive worse than the average driver. I want to get one.

Why yes, I think it is better to put a baby sticker than "I AM THE STIG" :laughing

hmm, it seems I had gotten it from the question mark at the end of "For what purpose?"

thus.. "Makes you aware. For what purpose? " ... Felt like you didn't know.

I'll play, but briefly lol. Even if I meant it as you read it, not knowing what purpose they serve is not the same thing as stating they serve no purpose.

Anywho, given the myriad of responses in here, I was just saying that it's a moot point as to the real intent or purpose of those stickers... I'm sure parents just want to catch the attention passer-by's and it appears to do just that. :thumbup

If the driver is a MILF, it's worth asking if the baby wants a little sibling.

I don't Think it was for emergency situations. I thought it was like those stickers on the back of pink Lincolns that say "please keep back legal distance " and "no tailgating"

... this URL says I have been correct all this while, and the sticker is for an explanation :

“I’ve never heard that theory before,” said Paul Maxwell, a paramedic with thirty years experience who runs a child injury prevention organization. “I surveyed my crew and everyone thinks its to warn people to be extra cautious driving behind so as to not crash into them.”

And they are right [the sticker was for being careful].

to me it says "please judge my driving on a higher standard than others."

so I oblige

I don't drive any different

Baby on board, the stupid family stickers and the child of the month make me think that those people only think of themselves and not others. Steer clear of them while riding!

This!

'baby on board' means passive aggressive behind the wheel.

do not provoke

I do a hard brake check on people who have baby on board stickers so they make sure they are paying attention and have good brakes, cuz you never know when you're gonna need 'em.

It's designed so if the vehicle is in a car accident to check for the baby and also as ALANRIDER7 mentioned, to check the vehicle in case the baby was left in there.

Those actually make sense because retards drive through residential neighborhoods way too fast.

So you're saying.. you like speed cameras? That's awesome.

You might've missed this post..

Back in the day when they were first popular,
Herb Cain mentioned it in a column about seeing a woman in her ultra safe Volvo Wagon, with the kid strapped in the car seat, BoB sign in place, windows rolled up & smoking a cigarette.. :laughing
