Back at the track

Just turned 57 and ready to get back to the track. I've just purchased a new bike, but the wife seems in a supporting mood, so if I can find a cheap GSXR or CBR, I might be able to snag it for track duty...once I get the old Tuono out of the garage, I guess. She's tolerant, but ain't no way there will be three bikes in our garage.

Anyhoo, good job! Anyone over 50 on the track deserves (extra) props. :D

I'm 50 and still planning to do track days until I can't. Hell, there are plenty of older riders that are faster than me on the track!

Having a dedicated track bike is the best but I'm planning to use my Tuono for weekend rides and the track, just because the engine is so fun! She's a bit porky on the lbs though.

You will know when it's time to quit. I’ve been a racer since 1970. Haven’t ridden street since 1980.

A lot of the fast guys are riding Ninja 400s now just for the fun of it. It's like Arnold banging his housekeeper. Or the guy married to the beautiful actress that was getting head from a prostitute in his car. Sometimes it's fun to try something different.
