Texwasabi: Totally went way above and beyond the call of duty at 3J's trackday to help "Over" out after a hard down.

Tex, you are a true Barf hero.:thumbup

Oh my god! I could take 2 hours writing out the list of people here who are my heroes. Problem with that is my boss might not be too pleased with my lack of work accomplished.

This guy, who has looked our worst nightmare in the eye, and come back with his grace, sense of humor, and will keep on keeping on intact.

BARF is a fantastic place. Kudos to all.

BTW at first glance I thought the thread title was Barf Herpes.

It's late, i'm tired and probably need new glasses.

NoGall, who really puts together a GREAT rally over and over again!!!

I too support the BARF super heros!

Also don't forget the little heros that scoop up the downed rider and bike on the street.

Enchanter, for driving me to Sonoma and back to pick up my crashed bike, and then dropping me off at work and taking the bike to SCCA.

Slowblood-
The Man, the Myth, the Legend for be'in the funniest bastid I ever met!

Ride # 1
Skaggs about 8 mi from Stewards Point, bicycle crashes right in fron of him. A lesser rider woulda hit the poor, sorry-ass woman as she slid across da road, but not slowblood; The Man, the Myth, the Legend missed her and all the pill bottles, 'n tampons roll'in 'cross the road. I wuz laugh'in so hard, I almost pee'd my 'Stitch

Ride #2
Chase'in Hun on Coleman Vally; from light into shade, The Man, the Myth, the Legend hits a swath of gravel, pitch'in the 675 sidewayz. But Slowblood The Man, the Myth, the Legend did back off at all, and just kept on the gas. I wuz laugh'in so hard, I almost pee'd my 'Stitch

Ride #3
As we arrive at Quincey, Slowblood, The Man, the Myth, the Legend busts out in a sprint chase'in my ass 'cross the parking lot! I wuz laugh'in so hard, I almost pee'd my 'Stitch!

I honor my friend John as a hero that got wrapped up in the 10X12 tarp I through onto him as he was riding 65-70mph on his CBR600. He managed to get it off of him and not run off the road. The first half of the story is that the same happened to me, but the tarp came from under a truck and wrapped me, and I was just in shear desperation to get it off of me.

I nominate Hooli. For singlehandedly returning a stolen moto to it's rightful owner! Didn't even have enough time to get yeh Barf mob all riled up!

I nominate Adam/Carries an Axe... the most inspiring person in my corner of the world. To overcome what he is with such grace, strength of will and purpose, all the while maintaining an incredibly positive attitude! :applause

Seconded. Stolen and recovered in less than 24 hours. :thumbup

I have to add Wendizzle F4ichic and Dr. Evil for their tireless efforts to make things happen while never tooting their own horns. Wish I could learn a little of this from them :|

Heck yeah !

+1

I can't count the number of times I've seen the queen helping a barfer out !

:hail f4ichic :hail

What she said...better than I ever could.:cool If you haven't read this kid's story yet on the forum, take the time to do it. Life itself will become instantly more simple, precious and clear in a few humbling minutes. :hail

There are so many incredible people on this forum... not a week goes by that I don't see something amazing being done by someone to help out a total stranger.
I love this place.
And Dani, I'd have to nominate you for hero status... you've got a strength of will that is humbling. You've had a lot of shit thrown your way by life... dealt with it, and been stronger for it. You're an amazing woman!! :love *hugs*

I would like to nominate Ben/Nekslayer.

I met him only twice! Once was in SF Friday night run and another was at hwy 9when I crashed.

He went out of his way to get my bike out and get a tow truck to send me and my bike home. He truely saved me that night.

Along with the group 4 people who stayed there, helped pulling my bike out of the guard rail. I'd buy you all beer but it's hard to get you all out at the same time. All of you made me felt so fortunate that I was with you. I'd be totally fucked if I were by myself. I am sorry that I didn't even have a chance to learn you names. But hopefully I will see you guys again soon.

It really encourages me that I will help someone like they did that day.

:bump
