BARF Rallies 2026 - Ride Party Ride Party Ride

I was just thinking about a route.
Going direct seems too known.

And Saturday. Hmmm.

Having never rallied before, a couple of ?? On the lakeport rally specifically...

- in the private forum, are people discussing specific rides/routes/daily activities and joining up?

- given the location, I see the opportunity for:
a) all asphalt twisties
b) paved roads and mellow dirt road forest combinations
c) days fully in the dirt to varying degrees of difficulty
All good options, I'd be interested in which way different groups are leaning

This happens for sure. Some rallies have a group launch some don't and smaller groups will launch or meet on the road to join up.

True. This rally is a bit unique as it is close so dual sport dudes and dudettes don't have to iron but to get there. The first rally in Mariposa this year had a couple of those types come out besides SFMC.

He tends to leave quite early in the week and generally he discusses his plan yes. I am sure if he had folks interested in joining him there would be much more discussion.

I almost always announce my vague plans about when I’m gonna try to leave and the general route I’m thinking about for one of our awesome BARF motel-destination rallies or StonyBARF events, and have had Mr @oobus and Mr @HeatXfer join me camping on Anthony Peak on the way to our Weaverville event, and Mr @Cabrito join me camping on Virginia Peak on the way to our Cedarville event, and can often count on Mr @bananachunks joining at some event—but the fact that I’m often leaving a week early tends to limit the appeal, I guess. :laughing

Mr @planegray joined me for a sunrise ride at the recent Jackson, CA, rally, on his cool Honda CRF 300—but in general the 4:45 am ksu is a tough sell, these daze. :toothless
