BARFTRON HOMEBASE

Whaaaa? Infinity Ward actually listening to shitloads of complaints and tweaking gun balances?! They already sorta buffed up shotguns a couple weeks ago. Now the patch for the akimbo FMG9 and Type 95 getting nerfed is coming in today. Type 95 is pretty cheap, but not nearly as bad as akimbo FMG9s. When machine pistols throw out enough bullets/damage to take down a Juggy in one clip....that's super bullshit.
 
I have a pair of the Turtle Beach X41s. It's convenient if I need to be quiet but still want to play games / watch a movie. But I don't really like it. It's not that comfy, it eats batteries for breakfast, the battery connection to the terminal is not very solid, and it gets spurts of crazy interference in a room that doesn't even have that many wireless connections flying around.

In the future, if I really wanted headphones for my gaming, I'm going to get wired. I learned my lesson the hard way.

No idea. Buddy linked me to a tweet from fourzerotwo (Robert Bowling), who said that the patch drops tonight. FMG9 and Type 95 get rebalanced and an exploit on Dome gets taken care of.

I heard that X41s are infrared, not radio frequency. And if you have a Plasma TV, it kind of freaks them out sometimes

Nub question...how do you get to the third person view when you're in a vehicle. I thought it was up on the d pad, but that no work.

Right thumbstick, I think. Haven't done it in awhile because it's not offered in hardcore.

Not sure infrared can carry audio; I'm pretty sure it uses RF. It's possible it could be an issue with the plasma; both my TVs are plasma. I don't have an LCD, so I can't verify it for you.


Edit:
And Brandon is right. Click down on right stick to change vehicle view perspective. Didn't know you couldn't change views in HC. That really is hardcore! If I tried flying a plane like that, I'll instantly be lost.

the X-4's are the same thing but they are infrared. they dont get as much interference but you have to be line of sight to the main unit. i was really happy with them and i just used rechargable batteries.

Just throw a towel over the base station of your X41s. No more sound? Must have an IR widow on it somewhere.

Most rear seat entertainment systems in cars use IR audio. They don't want anymore RF noise bouncing around the car than they have to.
 
Ahhh. Right thumb stick. That 3rd person view comes in handy sometimes. Crashed the damn helicopter too many times trying to capture a flag or hide behind a building to avoid a lock on.
 
After looking at the specs, the Turtle XP500 is pretty much the PX5, just with an extra little deal to connect to the XBox controller for $20 more. Small price to pay for zero wires coming from my body.

And I just happen to already have $200 in Best Buy gift cards. Probably wind up with another $100. So headset = free. Problem?
