Of course I'll get my PC where I want it and it'll be right at the point where I don't wanna play DayZ anymore.

Once I find a server that doesn't start off running ultra slow, then it's hacked some other way...loot spawns empty, barb wire/sandbags everywhere, or faggot cluster bombed half the map. And then of course there's the super bullshit hackers. I joined a server with three people in it. I was waaaay the hell in the Northeast. Yet somehow, there just happen to be another player driving straight at me with some jeep. Gets out and starts taking pot shots at me with an AS50. Must've teleported or some shit. Game is seriously gettin overrun with hackers and scripters.

Kali, we gotta get that AC130 raining down hell on some clowns. One of us has to fly escort or that big gunship will get shot down quickstyle.

And I always plop down the SOFLAM whenever I play recon. Since it does operate passively too. Why not, if somehow it paints someone and it helps someone get a kill...hey it's free points for me.

Yes, that's a 160mm fan. Yes, it's a very big heatsink. It's not too heavy, it does a good job cooling, and it's very quiet.

Yes! I've been playing a good amount of BF3 lately too, getting more better. I realized how much I sucked was mostly due to my CoD play style: running fucking everywhere with no regard for strategic cover or position, and also my nearly-hardwired tendency to pull the trigger wide-open during enemy encounters. :laughing

Burst-shot (trigger control) technique practice and playing with a semi-regular squad (cousin and his buddies) has really helped my Battlefield game. Clearing rooms with a squad and dropping 5 guys with 3 is FUN FUN stuff.

I've been seeing A LOT more Ace Squad and MVP ribbons lately as a result. :teeth

I've also been making an attempt to hop into Mobile AA's and other less-used vehicles in the game; as they will obviously be much more productive/relevant in Armored Kill - Do YOU have Anti-Air missiles for the Mobile AA's? :2cents

Anybody peeped the new DLC Achievements? Quad bike - ace!

Oh shit dude. That's totally a good point. I have exactly ZERO points with mobile AA. They're on on Rush mode maps right? I never see them since I'm mostly in Conquest. I think I have a decent amout of unlocks on the IFVs and service stars on main tanks, attack helis, and jets.

LOL I did say it was a big heatsink! I tried to take a pen and put it in that screwdriver hole (second picture) to give you a rough comparison of how large it is; however, the heatsink ate the entire pen and I had to use tweezers to get it back out. I was too scared to try again :laughing

That CPU cooler section at Fry's is pretty scary. Never in my life (and I used to work at one years ago) have I seen so many open box/returned items in one section. That tells me that either people are not so good at knowing what fits their socket and case, can't figure out how to install them, and/or run into some other compatibility issue.

Hopefully I don't fall into this group and I went with the liquid cooler...

Not exactly as easy looking to install as the HD7870 or the PSU was. But shit, by trade, I can overhaul and rebuild much more complex machinery than this.

Just buy a almost new and barely used setup off Craigslist (or even barf). Between Hunger Games and Hawkeye from Avengers, all kinds of people went out and bought a whole spread...got into it for a bit...and now they're bored with it.
 
Yeah I saw some reviews and it seems to be one of the most effective.

I really was just gonna just get the H60 for $65, but all the boxes they had were opened/trashed so I just didn't feel good about that one.

Haven't installed it yet but I will in the next day or two and take a pic.
 
For some reason, I thought you picture you posted was a picture of your newly installed heatsink. But since you haven't done it yet, might I suggest setting it up OUTSIDE of your computer and running a 24 hour test to check for leaks. Nothing worse than installing water cooling into your computer only to find out tomorrow morning you have a microhole in the tube and it leaked fluid all over the motherboard.

Or in this case, it'll leak on my brand new (probably worth more than my motherboard and CPU) Radeon card. Yeah, I gotta admit that I have always been a little worried about liquid cooled anything near electrical parts. There has been a handful of cars that use liquid cooled alternators...and you can take a guess how a lot of those fail.

I've got lots of ways to feed 12v at the shop. Maybe I'll just take it in to work tomorrow and let it run on a bench.
