Bay Area cop charged with masturbating in front of family during domestic violence call

A house full of witness where the witnesses are the father, mother, uncle and sister of a missing felon (most likely felon) that cut off his ankle monitor, whose home was being searched by other officers while being investigated for violating a restraining order along with other potential crimes. Yeah.......

Yes, mob mentality. Guilt by association. Trial by social media.

kinda interesting that you mention ‘guilt by association’, but apparently do not apply that to the family.

one of my sisters (long since not associated with the family any more) was a wanted felon. the FBI was after her for years. far as i know they never succeeded in finding her. for several years they periodically pounced on our family thinking we were harboring her or knew where she was. we weren’t and we didn’t. we were actually all terrified she’d turn up at our doorstep out of the blue (as had been her previous habit before the ‘incident’). she was the quintessential ‘bad seed’. we weren’t (aren’t) anything like her. thankfully there were no repercussions on us from law enforcement other than the questions. so yeah - your ‘guilt by association’ comment resonates with me - but not in the (apparent) way you intended.

and considering the additional info about this dude (and that others cops were aware of his weird behavior and lack of self control) you may want to rethink your assessment of the situation.

I think officer Dominguez will be able to find work in some rural small town police department maybe somewhere in Mississippi or Alabama if he wants too.

I don't. This shit is so far out of acceptable conduct, no department would want to be exposed to that. It's a very sticky situation that tends to rub people the wrong way. And I don't think it's realistically possible for a future would be LE employer not to find out about it.

As much as we all love criminals - every person accused is innocent until proven guilty, and entitled to a vigorous defense. Justice is served in a court of law. And the accused deserves his day in court.

Weren't you basically advocating for the UFC dude arrested for shooting the guy that was accused of molesting someone in his family, though? How is it that a police officer that whips it out in front of people "deserves his day in court" and "a rigorous defense" but yet a dude that also was only accused of a crime and not convicted of one (same as Dominguez) deserves to be shot or to have the law take a more lenient route with the shooter just because the man he shot did something you find more morally reprehensible than what this police officer did? :dunno

For context...

Nobody else is saying it. I will say it.

If a close family member is molested - shooting the molester doesn't seem unreasonable.

I am not above that.

I have my personal views on Mr. Velazquez, on the actions he took. I get it. We all have very strong emotions about justice, vengeance, the legal system.

If anyone wants to support Mr. Velazquez, they should send a check to his family, and send a check to his lawyer.

Why don't I have empathy for the guy who got shot?

I hope that none of us finds out, what it's like to walk a mile in someone else's shoes.

That you are doing here is not attacking his position, you are attacking his character. It is a personal attack, a fundamental logical fallacy, and one based in personal bias, not rational argument over a commonly discussed point.

Dupe or not, it's always been a troll account, more or less.

These types of attacks on members are not a sign of a healthy community.

No he's not, and it's ridiculous that you would accuse him of such. Borders on disrespecting members of our cherished community and all that.

He's pointing out the double standard, that's all. Here, A55 wants everyone to wait peacefully until officer scumbag mcrapist-in-waiting gets his day in court.
In the other thread, he's perfectly fine with killing someone accused of a heinous crime before they have their day in court.
:dunno

I don't follow you. This community has had trolls and dupe accounts plenty times over the years. I don't see how suggesting this might be one of those occasions is a not a sign of a healthy community. I'm pretty sure when I joined I got an accusation of being a troll or dupe. Might have been a valid concern because I don't live in the bay area, never have and didn't meet any BARFers until 2014 I think?

It's not like BARF has a habit of witch hunting and accusing every other person of not being real. But I'm not the only one that's noticed inconsistencies in this persons opinions or basic 'shit posting'.

If I'm wrong on this one, I'll gladly apologize.

So you're saying they all made it up. Got it.

I had "people" (3-5 all from the same house hold/ family... not mine) make up some wild untrue stories about me.

Results...
*60K+ in attorney fees
*lost my kids for two months (couldn't even say hi)
*under went 30+ investigations with CPS, emergency court investigators and police investigations. All investigations ended up unfounded.
*10 court dates

*I ended up with full custody of my kids for 2.5 years Dec 2018.

People will say and do some wild and crazy shit just to get their way or even a payout.

Making up a story about an officer jerking off during a DV call isn't as wild as you may think it is, I'm sure our fellow LE barfers will tell you the same. Now if there is video, maybe another officer saw it... that's a different story.

If you were a dupe, you'd think you'd at least pick a unique avatar.

But how can we own the board if we don't sneak in a cheeky use name? te-he, te-he.

Yawn.
