I am so grateful for the support that the Bay Area Riders have shown our family over the past 2 years as we have been racing in the British Superbike Championship in the United Kingdom. I just joined BARF 2 days ago and was overwhelmed by the kind words that have been shared by the amazing people who frequent this forum! :thumbup

I am Becky Uribe, and our son, Jayson Uribe, #36, rides in the Motul Motostar Championship on a 2012 Honda Moto 3. Jay grew up riding in the North Bay first on a Honda 50, then on a Kawi 65 racing with Supermoto USA with Brok and his crew for years! He also rode with Damon and Kim of Mammoth Motorsports where he went on to win the SRC National Lites Championship on a Honda 250 when he was 13. It has been so much fun to run into people on this site that have been around Jay on the track; both on his RS125, the BMW1000rr (his Dad's), or on one of his old Supermoto bikes! It is brought us great joy! I have even caught up with some of the people that I used to ride with when I was racing!

Now Jayson and I live in Nottingham, England for 7 months of the year, training, racing, and doing homeschool while he is competing in the series. :rolleyes (how Jay feels about the all of the homework sometimes.)
The other 5 months of the year, we return home to the Napa Valley area to live with my husband, Allan, and our exchange student, Hunter Su; from China. It is not the perfect situation, but we make it work. One of our friends told us, "If it was easy, everyone would do it..." He was right; so we live each day, thankful to have the opportunity to race motorcycles and to be able to live in the manner in which we do! :ride
If you have the chance, please check us out at our FB page at http://www.facebook.com/uriberacing. Give us a "LIKE", our sponsors are happy to see our numbers increase. :teeth

Thank you so much to the people and companies that are helping us get this far; Motul, Speed Mob, Pirelli, Helimot, Frey Daytona, Arai, Constant Vineyards, Motion Pro, Leatt, Twisted Core, Chicken Hawk Racing, Dion Device, and for the generous help of the media. Roadracing World has been a huge proponent for us, David has been so good to us as has the entire Ulrich family. We want to thank you for supporting the USA in our quest for the podium!!

Right now Jayson is 2 for 2! In his first race at Brands he was 3rd, and in his 2nd round he was 2nd! Let's hope he can get a 1st some time during the season! Wouldn't that be something to see!!! An American on the top step of the box in England!! WHOO HOO!!
