Decided to order a Lodge Sportsmans Pro grill for balcony grill vs the old smokey joe Weber.
 
I received that same Lodge grill for a present. Haven’t tried it yet, thinking beef kalbi marinated in Asian pear. It’ll have to be good to beat ye olde Weber. Post up how you like it.

The grill holds a fair bit of charcoal, I used a chimney of lump and it was maybe half full so I added more when I realize it was going to take a while. I think so kind of lid would add some versatility but it's awesome! More surface area than my smokey joe I think.

It only has two screws but if you put them in wrong it prevents the tray from sliding to open and close the draft holes, but I figured it out.
 
So for an early Bday gift my wife got me a Pit Boss Savannah pellet grill. I guess I am now a member of the darkside but kid of excited to try my first 18 hour brisket smoke on it. Was watching some Meat Church YT videos and am going to try some of the techniques out to see if I can take my brisket to the next level. I have next week off for my Birthday vacation and plan on having a heart attack due to excessive smoked meat consumption..... #lifegoals
