I jus got done doin my first bear creek ride and i gotta say tht the ride felt pretty jerky all the way down to alhambra valley rd to gregory lane in pleasant hill..is it just me or yall felt a lil uncomortable on it too?

Sportbikes arent generally designed for roads like that. Which makes it more fun to ride on a sportbike.

On the Duc M900 very bumpy. Yucky no fun too bumpy. On the KLR650 not bumpy at all. Lotsa fun crank throttle slide tires grin ear to ear not too bumpy YAY!

Perfect excuse for more bikes in the stable :ride

Bear Creek has gotten pretty rough over the last couple of years. But, if you know where the bumps are and how to avoid most of them, it's fine. Of course I ride a supermoto, so I enjoy the bumps.

this makes me wanna buy a supermoto man..lol..it was my first time on it so i didnt kno wt to expect but il definitely keep them damn bumps in my mind from now on

I never liked Bear Creek. Okay if you have 10in of wheel travel. I'd just take 24 out to Redwood.

Have you ever had your suspension tuned? Goaty roads with lots of bumps are a great way to find out how dialed in your suspension is :teeth

^^^ And at a reasonable speed, how to pick the best line.:thumbup

The entrance to Briones (on the Orinda side) has always been the worst part for years.

I think every Bear Creek thread has people unknowingly talking about two different places :laughing

I can't help thinking the same thing, we need to clarify in theses type of threads by saying East Bay or South Bay. Anyways in this case it is East Bay for those who have not caught on.

That used to be a great road to ride up until they re-paved it in a thoroughly half-assed manner. Several riders have lost their lives due to the bumps that were introduced during the re-paving and the whole road now quite frankly sucks!

I used to ride it about 5-6 times a week but have only ridden it about 3 times since the re-pave several years ago.

And, yes I have a very good suspension on my bike.
