Benton Hot Springs ...

So you're coming, Chris? Also, when can I come look at your GS? :teeth

Excellent stuff, John! :thumbup You know I :love Benton Hot Springs!
There's just sooo much fantastic dirty stuff to ride around there, too! :ride

Maybe the snows won't be so epic this year and I can ride there in March again...I hope!

... well, counting oobus, that would be four of us ...
will have to look into the house across the street
rental info, too ... :party

Would that be "The Bungalow"?

Two Bedroom Bungalow. A very privately located two bedroom house just 150 yards east of the Inn. The house is decorated in a 1960s theme. The master bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has a full bed. The house contains one bathroom, fully stocked kitchen, living room, psychedelic sun room and porch. It has a large hot tub with fantastic views of the White Mountains. There is a satellite TV. This was Bill's house during the 80s and the first location Bill and Diane lived after their marriage. It is here they planned the ranch revival. AT&T cellular service is available here. There is no breakfast service. All rentals are non-smoking. Smoking is permitted outside all units. Pets are permitted in all units, however owners are responsible for any damages."
$179 a night for 2 in one bedroom or $240 a night for 1-5 for full occupancy.

Sound good to me.
But then... any/all of them do.:laughing

I started a companion thread - nowhere near as in-depth as SFMCJohn's but it is the best I can do on that other forum. :twofinger

I approve of this plan.

:thumbup

I have fond memories of a long weekend in the house ( me thinks ). Besides the eclectic decor there's a full kitchen and a dinning table. So John when does the decadence begin ...?

... yes, we had an awesome time
the first time we were ever there ...
five years ago now maybe, ouch ... :party

... the plan is to give us all plenty of notice! :laughing

Hi m0t0_ryder ... I'd totally
forgotten that dogs were OK
at the bungalow ... that solves
our doggy problem, and makes
the chances that Cary will make
an appearance much greater ... :gsxrgrl

Great stuff John. Looks like a fun destination

... BARF Adventure Riding mini-rally, now!
I need to get out there on my KLR ...
March may be too early, but maybe
we could shoot for the first gate-opening
at WMRS in 2018 ...? :dunno

Between this report and TWT's latest I decided I needed a sport touring bike. Thanks for the little nudge I needed to get a proper long distance road bike! Looking forward to exploring and maybe joining a barf rally one of these days!

Great post! Thanks for all the information! Now I'm scoping it out, the earliest I could probably get out there would be mid-October. For those of you in the know, would this be too late for some of those roads? How would I check that?
