Best type of mirrors for sport bikes?

Hi guys,

I've been wanting to buy a new set of mirrors for my CBR600RR since the holiday season is in effect and there are great sales all over the internet. There is one thing that does concern me in regards to visibility from the current mirrors that are on my bike. Previous owner put on those smaller circular blind spot mirrors that are mounted on the two side mirrors. Looks similar to this:

Is there any specific brands or types of mirrors that you guys would recommend for improved safety and such? Also, mirrors seem pretty easy to remove and bolt on myself. I want to be safe and be able to have good visibility of my surrounding using the mirrors along with head turn and such. Safety first!!

Big better than small. Those little blindspot mirrors are much better far to the outside and low. And smaller

TBH, I've only ever had blind spot mirrors on one of any of my many vehicles (my current bike which had then installed by the former owner). I find them utterly useless since I always do a shoulder check. Even with my lifted truck I never found a need for them. Might be different in an FJ cruiser or a Lamborghini, but with what I've driven, especially with anything I've ridden, there's not been a need.

So far I've found handlebar mounted (the kind that go in the holes that might be on the lever perches, but you can just add a mount if needed) mirrors to be the most useful. Maybe not the most stylish but definitely practical. I found that they were plenty high enough to clear my arms and shoulders, which is the issue with sport bike placement of mirrors.

I've used a bar end mirror exactly once when I rode home on a bike I bought that had nothing but a bar end mirror. I found it utterly useless and would probably never get one on my own for actual usage.

guys mount those blind spot dots on the inside because that side tends to be blocked by shoulder/arms anyway.

I've had Napoleon bar-end mirrors for many years and I get a better view of what's going on around me. I still do constant headchecks, too. Be safe out there.

I found the little mirrors to be useless at anything over 20 MPH.
