Better Call Saul - Season 3 *Spoilers OK*

E3 was great! Nice building up of all the background info between Hector and Gus.

Should be interesting how Kim and Jimmy defend against Chuck's tape. I'm curious as to why... but it seemed that Kim seemed pretty happy that Chuck admitted that there was a dupe copy of the tape. We all know that Jimmy becomes Saul, but its all in the how and what happens to everyone else involved.

Agreed. This show/season is off to an excellent start. Loving the ties between BB characters.

Agreed. I think this show is even better than Breaking Bad. The more I watch it, the more I think that. This show has all of my favorite characters, the story is more believable and we don't have any of the crap characters (i.e., Skyler, Marie, etc.) or Bryan Cranston's overacting. If you don't agree with that last part, go back and watch the entire BB series for a second time. His overacting was insane.

I think they needed confirmation that there was one, and was happy to get said confirmation. Now they can plot some action to get it.

I don't understand why they needed photos of the inside of his house.

I'm guessing they're gonna go after Chuck's sanity/state of mind. That part should be fairly easy is you wrap documented history, his tazer involved arrest and hospital visits.

Jimmy's probably gonna admit to the story on the tape but he's gonna say he made it up because Chuck was having an "episode" and wanted to calm him down.

Somehow they found a way to create suspense in a show where we know what happens to the main character. And that's good writing.

This was great. Chuck got owned. He's such a douche and drama queen. I don't know why anyone puts up with him.
 
I watched the episode with my wife and I think the show is ruined for her. It was suck a great episode, but taken on its own must have been very boring.

I loved the drama but I wanted more Gus. He is such a badass. Can't think of he actors name but he is so good. He can shift his face from congenial fast food guy to ruthless cartel cog and make each utterly believable. When he delivered his final line in the previous episode I almost clapped.

I can understand that. On it's own, it was a boring episode. For those of us "in the know" it was awesome.
 
My wife and I watched the first episode of this season together, after watching the first 2, plus BB together. She said that I don't have to wait for her to watch, as she is no longer interested. :dunno

Re: Last week. I don't remember specifically rooting for or against Gus during his time on BB, but I still wasn't sure if I was supposed to root for him against Hector. I did anyway.

He employs Mike and I'd like to think he is part of the reason for Hector's downturn in health. Maybe we are just assuming it is some degenerative disease. Maybe he was poisoned by Gus!
 
If "in the know" the last 10 minutes where Chuck rapes himself on the witness stand is such gold!

Jimmy put the shoe leather to Chuck.

All high and mighty, playing Jimmy, going for the jugular.

Sometimes it's best to let sleeping dogs lay.

Chuck has a new appreciation for Jimmy's ability, maybe not in a positive way, but it was demonstrated to Chuck's disadvantage.
