I was splitting with a 20 mph delta and had to slow down because the car in the right lane up ahead was tracking toward the white line, shrinking the gap. I slowed down nearly to ambient traffic speed as I approached and watched as she stared at me in her mirror, and corrected her course so as to invite me in. I proceeded at a leisurely 5 mph delta, then she deliberately swerved toward me when I was right next to her door.
Could it have been a misreading situation? You thought one thing but was actually another?

Glad you survived, tho. That kind of situation is scary.

Thanks. Not a misreading. Video replay confirms that. Just an agitated, jealous type who hates lane splitters. They're out there.

Really Lou? I want you to take out a piece of paper and a pencil and figure out in both situations how far the cars will be apart in 1 minute 10 minutes and an hour. Then report back on your findings

I'll see if a Quantum Physicist chimes in on this lofty subject.

And Pencil? How do Pencils work, anyway?

I'm not qualified in these things, even sub triple digit speeds are foreign territory .. :laughing
