So, just a couple of questions.

When was your last trackday?
When is your next?

What did your Mom say about the incident?

What kind of gear were you wearing?

It sounds like you already got your bike out of the impound. How much did it cost? Who paid, if you aren't currently working?

Do you have a different outlook on the situation now that it's been a few days?

It sounds like this incident has changed your mind about riding without license/registration/lights. (because you have rigged up lights, and are getting your docs together) Has it?

Do you feel that the officer might have been thinking he was doing you a favor? I ask this because:
-He checked your record to see if the bike was in fact registered to you.
-He saw your cite for 110 mph.
-He took a look at the condition of your bike (front tire, lights), and made a judgment call about its roadworthiness.
-He listened to you ask him for a break, multiple times. He possibly thought you had asked this of other officers before, and successfully got off.
-He knew you had been pulled over before, for similar offenses (because you admitted the other cop didn't give you your license/reg after stopping you)
Perhaps officer dickwad was just being arrogant and evil. Perhaps he looked at your equipment and thought about the road you were riding. I'm sure he's attended to other riders on that road that have gone down. Seeing a broken body changes you (as I'm sure you learned in the Corps), and you want to make sure you don't have to see it if you can help it. He might have thought the only way to ensure you lived a few days more was if you didn't have a motorcycle to ride.

220 something to get out of the impound, I paid for it, recieveing unemployment and the GI Bill

Same outlook, I hate that guy with a passion, sept 4 now i kinda wish i didnt curse him out, not because he didn't deserve it he did need to hear it, just because he'll probably pull me over a ton now and hand out tickets like its halloween candy or worse impound my bike again for something else

Ya well im getting my paper work in order now, as in me having it on me, because it was all in order at the time i just wasnt carrying it at the time. Lights wise ya, just something not to get pulled over for in the future. I only ride it during day light so i thought nobody would really bother (or even notice since its a motorcycle) but i guess a motorcycle cop would figure it out. Thing was bike cop, bike civilian, cut some slack, guess not. Guess i can go night riding now tho so thats a plus.

No i do not think he was doing me a favor, he was a dick, he knows it, i know it, my front tire still has tread on it, my rear one is pretty damn new. I donno if you remember how sunny it was out last friday but the bike was deffinetly safe enough for me to drive home (flame away you BARFers). Lets leave it at that. He (nor anyone else) can impound your bike for no reason. YOU have to give him a reason.

Neither have I, but then again I am not playing Ricky Racer on the street with a track bike - yer killin' me here Devil Dog. I think I am going to go play dress up too, sounds fun... Maybe I will NASCAR my truck or something and go drive around on the street!

I prefer to have my front windows tinted and I prefer for LEO's to enforce other laws, but I can't get pissed when they ticket me for it - I took the risk... I think I will call my mom though next time that happens...

Speaking of sucking on a tit... How does that gov't unemployment tit taste kiddo? I cannot believe my tax dollars are going towards your "income" this way. Un-friggin believable. Next thing you are going to be saying is that you can race yer bike all over the street, but are incapable of getting a job? sidenote - good onya for the GI Bill, sounds like it may have been the smartest thing you have ever done - stay in school, you need it.

If you can find me a perfectly good set of street plastics and want to trade hey im all for it. I found these plastics for about a 3rd of what i would have found street plastics. Im not rich, so i went that way, the street plastics got destroyed when i had my accident last year.

2nd off i needed a ride home, would you have come to pick me up? Then stfu.

If you can find me a perfectly good set of street plastics and want to trade hey im all for it. I found these plastics for about a 3rd of what i would have found street plastics. BTW - common wisdom dictates if ya can't pay to play (i.e. "they were cheap and my broke ass could not afford to replace the legal plastics..), then don't play. Toys are for big boys who earn money and can afford to play with their toys.

Hi all,

In Jesse's defense, I have had a really cool PM exchange with him. I think what we are seeing from Jesse in some of the responses is tongue in cheek and some of it is the natural replies you would say too if you were being dog piled - no matter how stupid you had been.

Jesse knows whats up. Could be cool to cut the dude some slack as he is learning from his mistakes as most of us (many for me!) have done in life.
