bike vs car vs boat

500GP bikes were lighter but had about 180hp, the 990 four strokes can have up to 260hp and the most important thing they have lounch and traction control. Two strokes didn't have that, you had to back off the throttle when the wheel came up.
The four strokes also can get up to 220mph. So yea, I think that would look different with a GP bike instead of a superbike.

you need tivo

i think they stopped 5th gear and it used to be on tlc or bravo or something. It was much better when tiff needle was on too.

No need to get all fiesty now boys...

I understand you love motorcycles... That's fantastic. I love them and own two myself. Just because it has four wheels doesn't mean you can't give it the respect it deserves for the performance it is able to put out. Do you hate all other motor vehicles? What about jet aircraft... Land speed record autos? Sidecar racing? - because sidecars are pretty fucking kick ass in my book.

Respect the machine for what it is capable of doing. To limit yourself to only two wheels is absolutely asinine.

Sorry, bro: Corb is like myself. I eat, sleep and breathe motorcycles. A car is nothing but a cage to get me from point A to point B when I can't ride.

Call me a fanatic, but I truely identify myself as a biker... and at all stages of my life I will continue to ride wholeheartedly; I will go to my grave as a motorcyclist. 100% two wheels, has been for a VERY long time now.

The way I respect other vehicles is the similar to the sentiment I give toward Polka Music... yeah... it's music: but it ain't metal or rap.

Well, you are shorting yourself.

There is more to life than two wheels.

Why not experience what others consider fun?

Really, take a ride in a cage at the track. It is amazingly fun to look over at your passenger that rides bikes and see them holding on for dear life. It isn't like a bike at the track, it is...well, different. Doesn't mean you need to keep doing it, just try it out, for shits and giggles.

So, am I not a real motorcyclist now?

Nice!:cool

I've been in London the past couple of months and we actually get that show here. Speed channel take notes...

Edit: Nice host too. Any more vids available from the same?

The host of the show is very anti-bike according to the British magazine Bike. The do have the show every now and again on Speed Channel if you get it.

I love bikes. I had a bike as my sole transportation for eight years. But the entire time I loved F1 as well as GP500. I loved riding in my friends muscle cars. There are some very cool cars and cars can do some things bikes can't. Plus cars are fun to operate over the limit. Bikes aren't. :toothless

Just erase the hate, man. :twofinger

I like cars, I'm not passionate about them but I'm not ignorat either. I know very well what they're capable off and whats fun about some of them.
My problem is that some people are still stuck in the 80's when bikes were only good for straight line and fact is things have changed. Bikes can go fast around corners too. I irritates me when ignorant car guys look down on bikes as straight line only thrill machine.
First give bikes proper respect and then we can talk seriously about performace capabilities.
Btw I'm not in to bike cos they're faster than cars or because I can't afford a Ferrari. Except cruisers I like all bikes.

There is really not going to be a race between a bike and a indy RACEcar. But over all it was a good race.

I don't hate cars. I'm just 100% into motorcycles.

Performance cars just don't do anything for me. Sorry friends! To each his own, right?

I totally understand that bikes can corner as well. Corners are what I live for. Unfortunately Minnesota is rather devoid of nice riding roads but I think about riding back home and all is well. I'm not stuck here forever after all. I didn't buy a bike as a straight line machine either. I hate straight lines more than you do. Being stuck in the midwest for another year and a half - I've got first hand experience with roads appearing to go to infinity on the horizon. It's awful.

Call me a fanatic, but I truely identify myself as a biker... and at all stages of my life I will continue to ride wholeheartedly; I will go to my grave as a motorcyclist. 100% two wheels, has been for a VERY long time now.

But a mentality like that will never work. Twisted pavement isn't totally common in MN but we've got twisted gravel up north winding through wet areas like you wouldn't believe. We've driven a few local rallies for fun and that shit is challenging. Great times are had by all. You can't do gravel on a bike like you can with AWD. Loose surface driving fun like you wouldn't believe.

I live on two wheels - I know exactly where you're coming from.... but to limit yourself to just a motorcycle limits what you are able to do as a whole.

I'm not sure if you understand where I'm coming from. CARS DO NOT INTEREST ME. Yeah, I guess they're neato and they can go fast, but... so what? There are lot's of things in this world that go fast.

Actually, I like luxury cars and trucks if I were to show any love toward 4 wheels. I'm talking about climate control, insanely comfortable seats, GPS, awesome stereo, cruise control, auto transmission with smooth power delivery, arm rests, heated seats, etc. The heaviest, safest thing I can take from here to there. That's the only love I can have toward cars.

I don't care if I have the ability to drive a performance car. I don't care about AWD, I don't care about 4WD, I don't care about turbo motors... I just don't care about cars in that sense.

Just because I can make a fist doesn't mean I'm going to get into boxing.

Just because I can run doesn't mean I'm going to go run a marathon.

If you like cars... cool. I just don't like them for performance purposes, except for their ability to haul bikes around.

This mentaility has worked for me... I'm still alive and doing well.

How do you deal with that?

How do you deal with that?

I live in Santa Cruz, we don't have snow except in the dead of winter in the mountains on the rare occasions: nothing like your picture. Man, this is California... it's expensive to live here for a reason. I'm a tropical dude... brown people in the snow look like shit.

And for the extreme weather conditions or when I have to wear my monkey suit when I have to meet with my clients, I have my bone stock Mazda Tribute.

I respect your deal Kestrel, but you will have a better chance convincing a light pole about the coolness of cars better than you have a chance convincing me. I mean, cars are okay... big deal.

Maybe one day I'll convince you ;p

Unfortunately we're stuck with ass for weather here sometimes (read: most of the time) - so when you've got to use four - I like to at least have fun with it and that's what counts I suppose.

I do respect where you're coming from. It takes a lot of effort to utilize a bike in all aspects of life. Not so practical at my stage in the game though.

Roads suck right now.. But it's fun drifting in the snow so ;) Take what you can get.

I'm DL more fifth gear vids right now.
Cool vid.
I like how the boat never gives up... lol
