I bent the kick start lever on my 2002 WR250F. Before I go and drop a ton of money on an OEM replacement, does anyone know of a source for an aftermarker billet kick starter? Since I put in the 2003 exhaust cam it takes such little effort to start I'd like it to be shorter, too.

(Note, bent it before I put the exhaust cam in.)

I've tried BBR, Pro-Tec, and OCPerformance, but they don't make them anymore.

Try IMS. I think it's $30.00.

^^^ I'm tripping! That's for a shifter. My bad.

I bought a pro tec on ebay for like 25 bux. Easily one of the best upgrades i've done , the stock kicker is a boot eater. Also was able to start by hand after I got the hot cams with decompression :laughing

Can't find it for a 2002. Will a 2003 fit?

I had a BBR one on my `01 WR250F. Made it easier to start the bike...til my kickstart shafts started breaking. I went back to stock and just sucked it up. That thing could be a real bitch to start sometimes...

Good luck in your search.

You don't still have the BBR kickstart and want to sell it?

Since I put the 2003 exhaust cam in, the thing can be started by hand. I've thought about just putting a pull-string on it. :laughing

No, I sold it with the bike. I, too, put the `03 exhaust cam in my WR and it made a huge difference. I'd go with the stock kicker if you don't absolutely need a shorty lever. I had a great time on my `01...I plated it when it was brand new :teeth

Kickstart levers are like testicles; only some of us have them.

Fine, we'll do Troll on Monday, but I really don't think it's a good idea for either Sean or Timmay. But take Crazy Jeff in there.

God damn you.

Be sure not to wash your armor again. It barely fit around you last time we went riding. :ride

My training regimine of playing pool and drinking jager hasnt worked out as planned :twofinger So much for my dreams of a new diet video and riches - I thought I had really found the secret.
