bitcoins

No that's true, crypto is full of scams and pyramid schemes, Bitcoin just happens to be the biggest and oldest one.

The other major one, Ethereum, literally has a pyramid on a pyramid in the logo.

As soon as CPI numbers were released, bitcoin saw a big red candle down.

I would like to reiterate my point. At this point it's a rule and no longer a coincidence:

Bitcoin is a store of inflation and a hedge against value.

We are all still waiting on a point beyond the obvious that you don't like crypto, but please carry on.

Welp, count me as one of the losers who got fucked by Voyager. I lost track of my Ledger in my move and wasn't able to pull my coins off in time, so my shit is likely all gone. It wasn't much, but it's really grating that they will get away with gambling customers' money on worthless NFTs

That sucks. Hope you learn your lesson to not put money in obvious Ponzis like Voyager, Celsius, or any of those other crypto "banks". Hopefully the execs get fucked, but the reality is that they will probably be chilling on their own pedo islands bought with their customers funds.

Well bitcoin has been going up the past few days. Whichever of you sold all of your bitcoin in the last few days, I thank you for your sacrifice. :hail

Bitcoin dropped yesterday after Tesla sold 75% of their coins. I thought bitcoin was supposed to go up based upon availability; what happened xgambit?

Hopefully, you sell at a profit to the next sucker instead of bagholding on the way down, like most Bitcoin "investors".

Mt Gox settlement Bitcoins will be released soon. I think it's something like 140K BTC. Let's see if the sellers are able to find enough suckers to buy that supply up or if that much volume will crater the price once again.

Jeez, people, that had nothing to do with availability. It just follows the rule that once you decide to sell something like stock, let's say, the rule is that the price will immediately go up proportionate to the amount that you've sold.

Inversely, as soon as you buy stock, it will always go down in price.

These are just universal laws. Get it together.

Wow you are a financial genius. I'll make sure to get all my financial advice from you.

Your explanation doesn't jive with your post. Oh well...

Why would it go up? That makes zero sense.

Simple law of supply and demand, greater supply the lower demand, which leads to lower prices.

Yes, it does make zero sense, but I was commenting on xgambit's post #3050 above, which appeared to disagree with this common wisdom.

You haven't seen my friends investment decisions. Inevitably, when he sells something the value goes up.

I have another friend who has managed to routinely sell their properties at the bottom of the market only to buy new at the top of the market.

I make it a point to not do whatever they're doing :).

I think he forgot to add the sarcasm tag to that post.

But it is a well known fact as soon as you buy a stock the price drops making you question your life choices. Also as soon as you sell it keeps going up or the drop self corrects and the price goes up and again questions about life choices arise. /s :x
