bitcoins

I'll still stick to my pieces of eight, (physical gold and silver), thanks very much. I am a self-professed simpleton after all.......
Yeah, I'd rather invest in Beany Babies or Tulips than crypto.

Oh, I'm sure everyone will get their money back!

Only $1.5 billion stolen.
It's interesting, to me, that people can steal digitally and get away with it. As a software engineer, I know that there are ways to know and prove that somebody stole the money, and yet the financial community seems to have the answer, so sad sucks to be you.

Geoff and Reli, you may want to change your posts before you get a break... This isn't the PF, as I found out last week.

Looks like maybe another dot-com-pop, which tech has been pumping stupid for too long. With btc, it's precisely what people have said for years, "but the blockchain technology...", which has been the entire purpose behind its value. It would have no value as a low-tech currency. It's taken a while for the psychology to sink in, assuming it actually has, but this is why it's getting hit like tech, which means it's not going to track counter to markets anymore, which means it's just another tech stock, and no tech stock lasts at $100k.

Yeah it does come with an asterisk of, *know the audience, because with the average idiot becoming the controlling force with many stocks, we can't rely on things to make sense relative to data. So, he could very well be right. Not gonna post it here because it's a bit poli, but search on the youtubes for a recent video titled "we went to a crypto conference". Like....that's the audience.

The absurdity of bitcoin prices is that it's based on people. Given my belief that as the group increases, intelligence decreases: bitcoin price makes a lot of sense!

I see the visit to Fort Knox as the big test for BTC; WRT to what's found inside the building.

We had dinner last night with a cousin in law who lives off his bitcoin earnings investment or whatever you call them. He had a lot of enthusiasm for bitcoin. We are going to buy some just for fun. I understand there are bitcoin meetings for the bitcoin lunatics. It would be fun to go to one of those.

I guess I am going to have to read this thread

There are 5 Bitcoin meet ups in the Bay Area so no matter where you live you will have one close by. IMO it’s best to have some rather than none in case of world wide adoption.

New all time high of $126,200ish. When this thread started it was $1k. Best investment of the last 15, 10, 5 years. I would bet almost anything it will be the best investment of the next 5, 10, 15 years.

$94.5k...that didn't last long.

It can move any direction at any time, only insiders will know which before it does.
