I’m up 10% on the $1k investment. Of course I’d have to sell to get that. But not going to. BTC probably reach 10k by end of the year?
A new all time high for eth! I'm holding long term, but it doesn't hurt when I just made a bunch of money in the short term.
Bought 1 ETH last night at $411, it's at $460 right now. Can imagine having a ton of assets to play with this would be some nice ROI.
Again from the technicals, didn't think eth would pop like this so quick. I'd except a small pull back and of course the old pressure becomes the new support, so buy more if it dips close to $400. Something's wrong if it goes below that. Or just buy anytime because it's probably going to keep blowing up until it reaches near-bitcoin levels of unobtanium. Maybe I need to look whatever these wallets are and start playing along..
It tested $400 a couple times and broke out on the third, exactly what you'd expect with higher lows, an ascending triangle. The previous resistance becomes the new floor, so it shouldn't dip below $400 unless some negative news pops up. If it did, you'd probably short it, but I don't know if that's even something you can do with crypto's.
For a noob, can you do everything you need with Coinbase? You can buy/sell Bitcoin and Ethereum(others?) through their platform and transfer funds to/from your bank account?
So you need an exchange to buy/sell crypto's, ideally one that deals with a wide range of currencies, then you need a secure place to store cash/crypto(crypto only?), preferably using a software wallet for small amounts and hardware for larger amounts?
You can buy/sell and transfer USD to your bank with Coinbase. Though the exchange only handles Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin.
I would not recommend keeping funds in Coinbase, as an exchange is the most insecure place to store crypto. Coinbase does not give you access to your private key, as software wallets do.
I use a hardware wallet, which is arguably the most secure way to store crypto, though less convienent than Coinbase or a Software wallet.
Also, if you're day trading, I imagine a hardware wallet is not worth the transaction fees and complications, but perhaps a day trader could answer that more accurately.
Whoa. Ronnie Moas just called me to discuss crypto trading! This is getting exciting. We chatted for probably 30 minutes. Great to see a billionaire has the time to talk to the little man. Hes gonna be in LA next month and said we could hook up. He is one of my heros. Thanks for the call Ronnie.
