was biotech, reverse merged into a crypto mining company that made a really bad capital investment (talking overpaid 50%) then paid a 63% of cash dividend to special shareholders

I don't think it's a scam. I think it's an interesting piece of software engineering that will find a place in business.
I think Bitcoin and the other crypto currencies are doomed, however. And I believe that the current bubble will deflate drastically.
PS: I've made two long trades and made money on them. However, there is no way I would put money in this thing longer than an hour or two.

I'm "invested" in terms of I have some BTC. Not much. Made a good chunk on it though - thanks to all the fanfare over the last couple months.
Almost pulled the trigger and built a mining rig today. Decided not to though - while I believe it can be profitable in California, and it would mainly be just to try it out, I don't wanna throw down ~$2500 on building a rig from scratch.
