bitcoins

Not likely yet. New inventory is still selling out everywhere. Maybe another week or two.

Finally hitting the real support. Hopeful this is bot but 8k is the true test.

Tether news may screw anyone underwater right now.

Speaking of which, anyone got a spare can of air for my ltc?

Yeah, lite coin hit too % wise. But I can buy @ $135 right now. If it hits $125 I will pull the trigger again to drop my average down.

Either way, I'm glad I treated this as a learning exercise instead of a retirement plan. It's been fun to get into a pretty passionate community, only to have it fall apart by forces outside their control.

Bitfinex/Tether got subpoenaed. Wait until they actually get shutdown, then you'll see the real drop. BTC was pumped from $1k, so that's the first stop - and then much lower unless & until a new method of artificially inflating the price is found (new MtGox, Tether).

It's just old-fashioned fraud wrapped in new-age technology. This might go down as the biggest pump and dump Ponzi scheme of the 21st century (it's early yet..). A rite of passage for the current generation.

Coinbase sent out their email about additional Credit Card fees charged by the issuer for Crypto purchases.

I'd be interested to see how that has affected purchase volume for Coinbase

FUD that’s all you post. How would these be shutdown?

I agree to a degree that there is massive market manipulation. Where did you get the $1k price though?

There are tons of pump and dumps within crypto and even more Ponzis. However I believe greatly in blockchain tech. To put a blanket "ponzi" label on it is a bit ignorant though as that would be like saying the internet is a ponzi. It is just technology, how people use/perceive it or put a price to it is another story.

Well, Bitcoin is down to $8700 level, right now, which I don't think bodes well for the product. We'll see.

I'm not a fan at all of bitcoin. It is the pioneer but it is very outdated. I think that once ETH passes it for market cap it will just sink deeper and deeper. ETH is the future of crypto.

Time to shop for slightly used video cards??
Video cards only mine certain coins, Ethereum being one of the big ones, and it hasn't dropped much.

Bitcoin will implement Lightning network and it will jump back into favor.

ETH has tanked, and most tokens with adoption are ERC20.

News on BABB / BAX token sale? Goes on sale Tuesday. They have some rules to prevent whales to come in. 8 ETH max buy within 24 hours. First 3 ETH at a discount. Think it’s opening at .0012 usd.

20% for ETH vs 57% for BTC....20% in crypto isn't tanking IMHO.

What says the peanut gallery on Robinhood opening trade free exchange and Square accepting Cash accepting Bitcoin?

I'm surprised this isn't considered very good news for cryptos.

I’m waiting for my spot to open with robin hood. Square news is about 2 months old and that may be why you don’t hear about it as much.

Bitcoin price drops below $8,000 for first time since November 24
The volatile digital asset fell as low as $7,695.10 on Friday according to CoinDesk, marking the first time it has fallen below the $8,000 level since November 24. CoinDesk's bitcoin price index tracks prices from digital currency exchanges Bitstamp, Coinbase, itBit and Bitfinex.

The price of bitcoin recovered to $8,618 mid-Friday morning New York time.
Looks like some insiders are still pumping out profits...
